  1. I use the st100 plus also. You just have to fabricate a bracket the will give it a square mount. If the motor is on a bracket this could take a while. Mine is mounted (motor) to the transom and the AP is mounted to the gunnel. They also make a cabled remote that allows you to control from the helm. I had a 2000 and the reaction time was to fast. It rocked the boat because it would steer to fast on my small boat
  2. west side gets deeper faster. but 2 miles is a long walk at 20 degrees. after I get out a few times ill take some guys out with me if they want. I just need to get my travel routs and check my waypoints. I probably start next weekend.

  6. I have been kicking this around for a few weeks. When or how often do you change a bait (i.e. spoon fly plug) if the fishing is slow? I traditionally don't change a lot of tackle But I play with the depth a lot when its slow
  7. Water level permitting Luna pier harbor has camping and docks
  8. Curious who fishes the ice on the bay and where you let out from I fish from Thomas rd and sunset Ill be out sunday and both days next weekend Steve
  9. Yeah the river had a lot of water on the ice. We ended up in qsee. With a bucket on minnows and 5-7" of ice
  10. We ended up with 16 shortys and no keepers. Ill be out on the bay next weekend. they were getting out 6 miles this weekend and getting some nice ones. No school for the kids today so we are going to run back up to the river with hunter and morgan to catch some fish. Once I get out on the bay a few times if you want to take a ride your welcome to come out with me. The guys I usually ice fish with don't like getting out 6-8 miles. they are used to lake st clair
  11. Well with the first walleye trip of the year under our belts we came home physically empty handed. How ever Hunter and my father had a great time. We ended up with 16 shortys and an empty auger. We tried shallow, deep, drop offs and 3 different locations. I spent more time tying new jigs on hunters line than jigging my own. Every 15 min with out a tap he would start eyeing that tackle box looking for the next secret weapon. Even after cathing a fish he was in the tackle box looking for what the bigger fish wanted. We started out at the Zville launch and worked our way to the north end of hog alley. I few sleds running the river and 4+'' of ice everywhere. blue seamed to be the color but no lure. We caught fish on #2 do jiggers, #7 jigging raps, #2 shiver minnows and Swedish pimples all tipped with whole minnows. !0' of water was dead but anywhere in the channel had a few fish
  12. Well my son hunter twisted my wifes arm so we could get up to the Saginaw river and try some wally fishing. Ive been hearing good reports all along the river so hopefully Ill have a good news report for tomorrow. This is like deer camp. Im tring to go to bed and hunters knocking every few minutes to ask a question about jigging for walleye cause he cant sleep.
  13. I just saw one on the Lexington KY craigs list with a 115 mariner
  14. I have a set and I use them for walleye and cohos. Salmon I use walleye boards for copper. I like them better than any board I have tried. They seam to ride a little farther behind the boat than some other duals I have had but that doesn't affect the lines just preferance
  15. I will be in for all but the july event. weather permitting

  21. I want to upgrade my DT II for the new 5 but I was told they lack the features of the DT II that I use the most.. I set my depth on the display and they automatically stop stop at tat depth with out me watching them so I can set my other rods... I was told that I need a cannon link system to do this with the 5's but not the 10's. DT 10's are deffinatly not in the budget Thanks Steve
