  1. We went out of sebewaing this week end. We didn't find any fish till we were south of fish point. We ended up with 14 on sat and 15 on sun. we never got deeper thn 10' Deep jr thundersticks back 40 and 60' I think the 60 was digging in the bottom but they were getting hit. Warrior spoons back 20 on BJ diver disc blue seamed to be the best color for the thunder sticks and the spoons were orange and purple.
  2. You really can't beat Linwood Beach Marina on the west side of the bay. On the east side were I fish Sebewaing has a camp ground and a good marked chaannel. There is a get together there for MS in the end of june. That is always a blast. After the end of june you can find them up at caseville and prot austin till november. If you end up on the east side shoot me a PM I'm out every weekend.
  3. I use the big jon mini disc on churches wlleye boards for walleye. I was thinking of changing the swivals to a clip type release and putting it on the backer after the copper is out. That way its removable. Then let it pou another 40' so that it dives to 20' and them the copper runs behind it. Since I posted this I saw where guys are using dive bombs. How do they clip on the backer?
  4. I did some research and the CG says they get 1+ hoax calls a week during the boating season on lake mi.
  5. Google lake erie hoax mayday calls. You will find a couple of recordings of some hoaxes. See if the voice sounds familiar.
  6. If you have been running it this year already Its probably not the gas, The ext tank will check for the colapsed line or bad seal on the couplers.
  7. Now on to the feul tank draws. Your kicker is probably the second line on the bank tank. Can you reach down to see if there is a loose hose by the other fitting in the front tank? If not I would go get a plastic plug at west marine,
  8. Run some cleaner in it to. I have used sea foam twice a yaer on all of our boats. It seams to work well. Did the last owner run the boat last year or has it been sitting? Also you should be able to see the chokes openong and closing when the air cover is off? Is this an Optimax of an EFI on the big motor?
  9. If you have an external tank that would be my first step. That will take alot of guessing out of the game. Either it's the feul supply of engine. Was you primer ball staying firm? and are both engines run off the same feul line?
  10. the last 2 boats I have looked at had the fill and vent next to each other. These were on older starcraft. So I don't think thats the prblem. Was it new gas in the tanks? What kind of engine are we dealing with I/O or OB. I would try an external tank with new gas and some sea foam or something similar.
  11. I use diver disc for walley and with the fish seaming to be deep this year. I have been thinking of upgrading the snaps so they can be removable on a few of the disc to run in front of my short coppers. No the math. Can I just add the 2 dive curves together or am I just asking for trouble with this set-up? Thanks Steve
  12. I had the same situation on saginaw bay. We had 4 people but only 9 rods. we told officer that 1 person did not have a license. It was Ok. He said that driving the boat does not constitute fishing as long as he does not touch a rod or NET.
  13. you can go onto the lakemaster website and see if its cmpatible. my hbird chip was only compatable for models after 08'
  14. HOW OLD IS THE lcx27. it may not be compatible.or the chip may be bad. i had a bad hbird chip last year
  15. Thats a nice ride you have there.
  16. Thanks I sent him an email to see if it was still available
  17. Hi Guys I recently decided to take on a project boat. I had one all lined up in cleveland but when I got there the deal fell thru. I am looking for a late 70's erly 80s 22' starcraft open hull. (mariner or ss). I am really looking for one of the V5 hulls. They have a tru Vee at the transome as opposed to the rounded off Vee's of the standard aluminum hulls. If by chance anyone knows of or sees one up for sale I would really appreciate the lead. Thanks Steve Kelly
  18. I keep the side cutters in back. I also run my spool drags really loose. Some times wave action with creep out the wire. My biggest worry is the stern getting swamped. Thanks guys I really appreciate the feedback
  19. We used our diver disc on the boards. Last year when cwe went the fish were about 8-10' down. Best lure was red tiger brads thin fish 6 down 40 back on a rigger second was same lure 20 back on a disc Of a board. We used of Saginaw bay walleye gear and every thing took hits.
  20. Yes on the two broken displays. I had to get a new spool $20 line counter and gear. all came from fiah307.com. they have the part layout on their web site. 3 way switch with weather cover $8.99 online. Everything plugs together I inside no need to crimp or solder anything. Also we love them. It spoils us we r looking are the new DT 5 next winter.
  21. We have 4 of them # we had convert to magazine 20 when the displays were fanged. We have yet to have a display go electronicaly wrong. 1 was drooped by my 5 yr old the other was cracked when was hit by a cannonball. For 38$ you can change them over to a analog depth counter and a 3 way switch.
  22. Is there a way to hook up a gps unit to a lap top to enter data? I use the navionics platnum software on an SD card. is there a way to just put in waypoints to the card and put the card back in the GPS. I would like to network mine on shore to start scouting and setting way points because I am to busy running the rods to enter info. Thanks Steve
  23. We will be fishing out of whitehall this July. I was told there are quite a few nets around. Is there anything I can do besides keep a good look out. The last thing I need is to tangle a DR or 2 in a net and loose a couple of coppers. Thanks Steve
  24. Can we load them from a phone. When I try they just come up blank.
