  1. Great Job Dan. She will remember that first one for ever. And her Uncle Dan as the one that made is possible.
  2. I was up at Olcott on Saturday. ( I wish I was fishing) And the folks up there are getting some really nice fish. Got to see some pretty Kings, and steelies come out of the coolers. Almost thinking of moving my boat up there next summer for the July-August fishery. Last 2 weeks in July till mid August. I figure that time frame should allow me to catch enough fish to keep the smokers going till deer season starts lol
  3. Sorry Everyone, I forgot to make it clear that these are the reels ONLY ! No clutches, handle, nothing but the reels.
  4. Jess, you may have hit on the head. If in fact there is such an abundance of foods for them, it sure would explain alot. I mean you can find the fish, but, they just don't want what we have been offering. Has to be something to it. Maybe now that the Full moon is past, things will pickup ? Then again, they are calling for storms and winds here for the weekend, so anything that was setting up in patterns, is gonna be dispersed again.
  5. Dan, Most of the time, I run 4-5 lines per side on the big boards. Mostly jet divers with stinger style spoons or meat rigs. Then once the fish start to gather deeper, I switch to 4 dipsey divers per side off the boards, with rubber bands. ( With dipsey's, I run them all on the same setting keeps them from tangling that way.) I also run my stick baits behind the riggers, most of the time, stacking 2 per side. But, as you know it all depends on the situation and the conditions.
  6. I was out late yesterday afternoon, off Fairport, at the "hump" took 30 in short order. Were several boats at the edge, where it falss from 38 fow to 53 fow in real short order. As for the walleye, I think they all went to Canada on vacation. lol
  7. I have (2) Big Jon 8" replacement reels for the manual Planner board mast. These are the reels that came with my unit, and I replaced them with some of my own design. These can be had for only $30.00 for the pair. No CRACKS, or chips in these reels.
  8. Good Job Dan. Sorry to hear about that Butt Head breaking into your truck. He must have really been desperate! That young fellar sure looks happy. We had really tough conditions here today also.
  9. Glad I could (try to) help out. Let me know. I have the complete set up. Just let me know what parts you need if any. Bill.

  15. Well it has been a few days (weeks) since I have made any posts here on site and for that I do apologize. (Been in the VA Cardiac Unit) But, I think this will make up for it. Here is my brand new grandson, Luke. he arrived last night at 10:14pm. He weighed in at 7lbs. 0.4 oz. and 21 inches in length. I think he is a Keeper !

  18. Water pump seems ok, but the exhaust manifold has a hole in it, got another one to put on it tomorrow. Will post my findings after I get it apart. Rich with a nice 28"eye Myson Josh with a nice 24" eye Me with a 30" eye Rich with another good one just a few fish down there Do the sunsets get any better than this ?
  19. You are a very fortunate man! Having a great wife and a great Boat, you have the best of both worlds! Very nice looking rig.
  20. Well we made it out again yesterday afternoon/evening. All the chatter on the radio was the fish are in 60-70 fow. Well, I decided to setup in 40 and poke around and see what was there. Not 2 minutes into the troll nice 4 lb eye on a dipsey ith a small stinger (frog pattern?) As we headed into deeper waters, we began to mark huge schools of perch on and near the bottom. Lot's of BIG fish hangin around those schools too. We played around with different presentations, finally trying a 30 jet, with an Erie dearie behind it. Don't laugh, it took a 28" fish Ohio walleye ! We ended up in 62 fow and then headed in with some really nice fish in the box. When we made it to the harbor, noticed that we were running a little warm, by the time I got to the dock, it was running HOT ! Got tied up and let the engine run and cool off, at idle. Opened the hatch to inspect, and found I am the new owner of a cracked exhaust manifold. Good thing I got those extra engine parts on sale really cheap last year. Will change out the manifold and post some fishy porn later on, can't do it from here. Says I don't have the proper privilages (lol)
  21. Nice Job, Capt. Dan. Way to make the customers happy.
  22. Welcome to the site. Your gonna like it here! Lot's of great folks, always willing to help.
