  1. WTG - I share Nailer's jealousy! I can't wait to get out.
  2. I hope to go for browns this year too. I look forward to learning more about fishing browns out of Muskegon too. I hope you get some helpful response to your post Flyboy.
  3. Clyde Richardson Kentwood,MI Experience: Big Lake 4 years, freshwater river and lake fishing - 45. Waters: Lake Mi out of Muskegon Boat: 16.5 Lund, "Real Therapy" I grew up in Northern IL fishing the Mississippi River. I moved to MI and got into inland lake fishing, then fall fishing for salmon in the Kzoo river, fly fishing and tying, then finally into big lake fishing. I have had the privilege of fishing from Canada down to the Gulf of Mexico, from the Chesepeake Bay and Bar Harbor to tuna fishing on the Pacific out of Oregon, and down to Mexico to catch sailfish. I don't live to fish, but fishing makes me easier to live with.
  4. Great thread and thanks to all. I have used both flood and uv. I had not previously thought about getting them too bright. This thread will definitely help my fishing this year.
  5. Great video. My high school french was of little help. Wish there was a english transcript. A great video vacation on this cold winter day though.
  6. Mike, Thanks so much for trying to make it happen. I have benefited so much from the Feb. seminar and was looking forward to it.
  7. Nice! Good work Jay. There are lot of gills and specks in Swan Lake. I once watched a 42 inch pike come off the ice there.
  8. Victorinox bought out Forschner. I wouldn't be suprised to see the Forschner name disappear on new knives. I LOVE my forshcners. Get em while you can.
  9. Good job. I went out of Muskegon this morning too. Out to 165, marking lots of fish, finally took 1 small laker in 120 and returned it. You guys did better, but I was also suprised not to get any steelhead.
  10. Stingray Area 51 - is the number 1 go to at any depth
  11. Thanks for the report Eric. Glad you were able to get out. I've been stuck inland too long!
  12. WTG Terry! I couldn't get out at all in June, so happy to read that you are out there having a great time with friends catching fish.
  13. Good Job! And we all know the excitement of the newcomer with the first fish in the net. What fun!
  14. WOW! WTG guys. You fish a lifetime to get a fish like that in the boat. I hope the wife is as thrilled with the taxidermy mount as the fisherman who caught it will be.
  15. Thanks Capt. I agree that your reports are always helpful.
  16. I went 4 for 5 today during breaks in the fog south of the Muskegon channel this morning. Two of the fish were 28" kings and were both taken on Area 51 on the riggers. The first was 56 down in 93 fow, the second 60 down in 77 fow. The other two were each on veggies. One on mixed veggies on the dipsey 80 back in 73 fow, the other on blue veggies on 5 colors in 86 fow. It was occasionally very foggy. GPS is priceless!
  17. What a great way to end a row of skunks! wtg!
  18. Welcome James. There is so much to learn, so many fish, and so little time. Time spent on this website will be very well spent. Good luck, and keep safety first!
  19. Thanks for the report! Not a bad start to the season.
  20. Good job! And thanks for the detailed report.
  21. Thanks for the posts guys. You can never over emphasize safety! or kindness.
