  1. I use buckets and they work great,I drilled 1" holes in the bottom this allows water to flow thru the bucket and acually slows you more than without holes. I took the handles off and drilled holes in the side, then ran rope thru and tied it off,I have rope off the side of the boat long enough to have the end of the bucket near the back of the boat, also try to get the rope that secures the bucket to you boat mid ship if possible i use d rinds for a quick hookup to the bucket, the buckets ride along side the boat nicely and does not bang. Its a cheap alternative to bags and smaller. Jimmy
  2. Awsome Bird Kevin! You finnally did it way to go!!!!
  3. Braid or fire line cuts the water better and does not have any stretch so it will pop easier when you are pulling lines as well.I stack my riggers all the time( if i have enough guys on board),I run the top one longer ( 20 back on the lower and 30 back on the upper)for the fish that drop back from the lower bait,I will also run a free slider (6 foot)on the top rod as well if i'm in deep enough water. Our riggers do very well for us all summer long. jimbobber

  16. Hey guys here is an update on the Jimbobber repairs, i pulled the engine out a week ago ,didnt go so bad had her out in about three hours:D(not bad for a fist timer i quess), when i pulled her i found the motor mount blocks where gone :angry2:so tonight i cut them out and found nothing but mush:eek:! But the surrounding wood is wet but still strong and not rotten sooooo i am going to let it air out and build up some new blocks out of marine plywood and fiberglass and glass it all in this should do the job.I also checked the transom and found one small spot that was soft but for the most part it's in good shape so ithink i will save that for another years project.Hope to get the motor done in the next two weeks and the glass done before that so i can still be on the water in mid april. Thanks for your advise guy's. jimmy
  17. For sale, an over and under 12 gauge shot gun 2 3/4" and 3" ,one barrel is Mod. and the other is Improved cylender. Its a Stoeger condor 2 and is in excelent shape, asking $300.00 . 19. Clean, clean, clean, you have to make sure the spoon is clean of all finger prints and when applying the stickers do not touch the sticky side if possible, then I have put spoons in a stack and rubberbanded them ,then put them in the oven at the lowest setting for about 15 min. this is an old trick i learned from Dennis Ende who used to own North Port nailer. We do this with our spoons that have multiple layers of stickers and it seems to work good. JImmy
