I took my 11 yr old girl out goose hunting this morning and she shot her fist goose! One shot about 30 yrds out front, I followed up by dumping one myself.In the morning it's the todd farm youth hunt and she can't wait!

Mark, It does take some luck as well, but i do shoot enough to know i can make the shot with a rest or i would not have taken it.I use remington expess rifled slugs,they shoot the best out of my gun.

saw 8 does and 1 buck ( to far to shoot)on the opener , Shot a nice doe at 3:00 p.m. Then sun eve. 11-22 I was hunting near a corn field and had a very nice 4 point chase some does out to the field edge , one of the does had me pegged so i had to shoot the buck at 110 yrds with my 12 gauge smoothe bore with scope:eek: and dropped him in his tracks!!;)He was 2 1/2 yrs old and weighed 138 lbs dressed out.The only pic I have is in the back of my truck so I did not post it,I didnt have a camera with me in the woods sorry.:rolleyes:Time to kill geese and steelhead now!!! fished out of Holland SAT. morning and went 6 for 7 in 90 to 120 fow, jpslammers glow fire dog 80 down on rigger,michigan blue berry 45 down on rigger,lemon lime ice glow on 300 copper all had hits and one fish came on mountain dew flasher 218 back on dipsey.Thanks to all the guys I talked to this year on the lake:), I think it is time to put the boat away for the season :(and start chasin critters! so "jimbobber out on 68" talk to ya in the spring. Jimmy year end total as follows. 33 , 5 hour trips 106 kings 6 steelhead 25 lake trout 4 coho totals 141 fish.

fished for salmon sat. am and found huge scools of perch in 75 fow cus we ran thru them,checked lines and found a nice 10" perch on a rigger that went thru them, hope this helps you find them. jimbobber

good job, i agree to the comparison to spring fishing there is a lot of fish out there yet.

went fishing out of Holland last night ,made 1 pass thru the channel with no hits, went 5 for 8 in about 2 hrs in 100 to 120 fow. glow fire dog JP Slammer still has been our best bait with 4 hits last night 70 to 90 down ,lemon lime ice glow had 1 hit,blue bubble set up on wire dipsey back 175 took 2 hits,and mountain dew set up took 1 hit 218 back.we had 1 lake trout,and 4 small kings.I heard a guy in 180 fow pulling lines before dark with a limit of fish. Just can't put the old jimbobber away yet!:Djimbobber

great season phil thanks for all the reports, I think i may have at least one more trip on the jimbobber yet we ended up 5 for 9 sat. am all around 100 fow. keep in touch maybe next year we can fish together some time. jimmy

I had the same thing happen with the yellow bird last week out in 200 fow. anyone know what kind it is?

went out of holland last night went to 250 and fished to 270 went 11 for 17 all down 55 to 70 on riggers and 2 fish on dipseys with flies 218 on a high diver and 180 back on wire.we had 2 steelhead,4 lakers and 5 kings.Glow fire dog jp slammer took 8 hits and the rest were on coyote ugly,MIchigan Blueberry,orange high ball and double orange crush jp slammers. the fish are plentiful but the kins are small 4 to 6 lbs. jimbobber

Well we went to 260 and fished to 290 fow out of holland this morning we went 5 for 11 with one steelhead and 4 kings.JP slammer Glow fire dog took 4 hits,michigan sunset 3 hits,and mixed veggies 3 hits and one fish came on a mountain dew flasher with a mirage flie 180 back on dipsey.sounds like other guys did pretty well in 120 to 140 this morning. jimbobber PS.I appologise to anyone who whitnessed my melt down at the ramp while trying to load my boat i sware it took 15 times to get it on the trailer correct.

good job phil, i tried last nite with the kids but had to pull lines as fast as i set em to beet the storm back!

went out of holland last night and fished in front of tunnel park.We went 8 for 11 we started in 200 fow and trolled in with the waves,we had four hits in 165 got one and then picked one up in 125 fow the rest came in 95 fow.Beef eater,glow fire dog,and nbk jp slammers took hits and the rest came on an 11" white echip with pickle sunshine flie on bottom,and on a green echip and white echip with pickle sunshine flies on dipseys set to run within 10 foot of bottom.final count was 1 coho ,1 laker, and 6 kings with a 19 lb and 17 lb being the biggest. jimbobber

Fished out of holland sat. mourning,went 3for8(we had 2 newbies on board). fished 80to100 fow had one hit on a beef eater jp slammer down 70 on rigger, one hit on 10"spin doctor down 90 on rigger,one on 360 copper on mountain dew dodger and oceana rapture flie,and the rest came on dipseys set 175 back on the wires, and 218 back on high divers . 2 fish were 8 to 10 lbs and 1 was 20 lbs on the nose . the fish seemed to be scattered.
