In January finally going to put power winch on my boat trailer. Need at least 2500lb, nothing fancy, just need local control in device without remotes etc. Any suggestions, recommendations? Will fit in my tandem axle Trailmaster trailer! Thanks, And, Merry Christmas

Good job. Out of my spread of 6 or 8 rods I usually put meat on 2 or 3 rods, especially riggers. In late August, our 22# king in Frankfort came on Capt John King Ghostbuster flasher and meat rig.

Wasn't 400' of copper. Did have small amount of yellow braid backing and a faded orange walleye board!

PS: While pulling in dipsey, we found n old copper line n inline board attached to it. If you know anyone that lost one, let me know and I'll mail it to them.

Wing N IT: That was me, Hockey Puck, on The Reel Woman, calling for Steelhead 1. We were out since about 2 PM. Two knock offs on the riggers on meat rigs with no one home. Got 10lb female laker on meat rig on SB rigger down 101' in 135fow. Had lot of marks n bait balls in 120-140 but not many takers. Had 150 & 300 copper, full core, 8 colors, 2 mag dipseys n 2 riggers out. Great afternoon/evening on the lake. Last trip of the season. Have to get boat winterized and into storage before my hip replacement 9/21.

Mega Byte: I agree. This time of the year you get a lot of people out there that don't know what they r doing or dont care to be courteous; guy cuts in front of me yesterday; 3 or 4 times I have to tell people there's a copper n lead core line attached to my boards so please give me room so you don't cut us off. Duh, they probably don't know what that is. Some people out there have no clue! Thats's why I tell my mates when they r driving to stay clear because they won't.

Manistee 8/19PM/8/20 AM, Frankfort 8/21 AM Manistee PM: 2for 2, laker on Super B spin dr flasher n mirage fly on mag dipsey out 253' on 3; 8 lb Coho on CJohn green froggie meat rig on rigger down 85'. All caught in 128fow in 20s near Onekema! Manistee AM: Got skunked, just 2 meat rig knock offs. Frankfort This Morning: Lake settled down nice, couldn't get out last night with 3-6s. Got 4 kings, one 22lb female, 3 on CJ King Ghostbuster Flasher n meat rig on riggers down 111 & 113'. Got one king on mag dipsey on 3 out 235' on uv spoon. All fish in 128-130 fow from piers to Betsie Light. Speed 2.5-3. Marked a lot of big bait balls n had quite a few marks! Heard from fish cleaning guy past few weeks 9 fish over 30lbs; guy with 24lber said his friend caught 38lber last week in Betsie Lake on meat rig. Also, he said there are a lot of fish at Betsie dam.

I use double Uni-knot. Adding lead on the end before the leader gives spoons more action. Seams to work pretty good since I added it a while ago!!! I have it on n my 150, 225 n 300.
