  5. I fished shallow hoping to catch a brown, but not much happening after and hour. So I thought I would head out deeper, where all the reports seem to be pointing around this end of the lake. Water was 43 degrees in 12 fow. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

  10. Weather should be fine and you will enjoy it. Just go a little slower, so you can relearn what you forgot over the winter. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  11. 1 for 2, small 3# king and 1 very large steelhead lost, when the line broke as I tried to net him, real heart breaker. Both on south troll, 2.3 sog, 13 and 16 fow, on thinfish south of harbor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  12. Fished south of piers this time. 2 for 2, both brown trout. Released 1 undersized. 1st brown trout I ever caught. One in south troll in 13ft, with a jointed shad rap, on a flat line, 2.8 sog. Second on a north troll in 12ft. 2.3 sog with a 2C using a red top/gold bottom thinfish again. Water temp was 41. 2nd brown was just under 3lbs. 13. I picked it up last fall. It's a 2012 Trophy 2102. 150hp fuel injected 4 cycle and 20 hp carburetor 4 cycle. Really easy on gas. 20 hp makes a great trolling motor. I installed new hyd autopilot, fishawk and fishfinder. Also all the downriggers and traxtech equipment. It's nice and warm on these early cold days. I still have my littleboat for jigging, small lakes and rivers. Now I can go out where it might have been a little less than idea for a smaller boat. The engines had less than 25 hours on them. Still under warranty.
  14. Got out for a bit of a shakedown cruise. Caught 5.26# laker north of the harbor in 18ft. Water was 39 degrees. Got it with a red top/gold bottom thinfish with a 2 color. New boat ran great. I was able to take a friends grandson out for his first time fishing. He was excited. He is taking the fish to grandmas for Easter. 16. Port sheldon channel is open today Saturday, but the lake is pounding the entrance. I saw one trailer in the lot, but couldn't see the boat in the channel, brave souls.
  17. I used my desktop to post the pics. The GLF wasn't accepting my android phone attachments.
  18. Four trailers in the lot this afternoon. A little ice across the channel. Boats must be at the end of the channel or on the lake. I couldn't see them.
  19. North wind blew the ice to the southside today, blocking the channel. That's something to think about, when you try to get back in. A wind shift could really ruin your day, especially on the way back to the launch. March 20th 1st day of Spring.
  20. Lots of chopped bergs in the lake. Check my pics.
  21. Evidently the attachment process is still not working for the Android phones. Stopped by the PS today and snapped a few.
  22. Ice looked a little thin but there were two brave souls out there?
