  1. WOW! WTG guys. You fish a lifetime to get a fish like that in the boat. I hope the wife is as thrilled with the taxidermy mount as the fisherman who caught it will be.
  2. Thanks Capt. I agree that your reports are always helpful.
  3. I went 4 for 5 today during breaks in the fog south of the Muskegon channel this morning. Two of the fish were 28" kings and were both taken on Area 51 on the riggers. The first was 56 down in 93 fow, the second 60 down in 77 fow. The other two were each on veggies. One on mixed veggies on the dipsey 80 back in 73 fow, the other on blue veggies on 5 colors in 86 fow. It was occasionally very foggy. GPS is priceless!
  4. What a great way to end a row of skunks! wtg!
  5. Welcome James. There is so much to learn, so many fish, and so little time. Time spent on this website will be very well spent. Good luck, and keep safety first!
  6. Thanks for the report! Not a bad start to the season.
  7. Good job! And thanks for the detailed report.
  8. Thanks for the posts guys. You can never over emphasize safety! or kindness.
  9. The single most effective spoon for me in my first two years of big lake fishing has been the Stinger Area 51. Second favorite is DW double orange crush.
  10. Nice shot! Did you get one of the conjunction too?
  11. Wow! Good luck with this exciting endeavor Mike. Those salmon fishing episodes would be a welcome addition to the TV fare during a way too long winter season.
  12. Thanks again Captain! We have seen a similar run in Muskegon. With fish in the river and the occasional four year old caught in 80 fow.
  13. Last Sat night we marked many fish in the top 20 ft in 50 FOW. We got a nice steelhead on the freakin blue veggies in 54 fow, but lost another off of 5 colors. For all the fish we marked, it was a slow evening. Good luck and tight lines.
  14. WTG! Better than any day in the office.
  15. WTG Jim. The mixed veggie has been a good bait this summer. I had an embarrassing day at the ramp last summer. I guess it keeps us humble. It even happens to those of us who use the boat frequently.
  16. WTG! Thanks for the report.
  17. WTG Andy! Maybe a trip to South Haven is in order. . .
  18. Saturday we also did well on the steelhead in 120-140 with one 30 incher. The combat fishing in near the pierhead didn't yield as good of results. We had 4 of 7.
  19. NICE fish! WTG.
  20. Thanks Capt Ron. I am going to try to get out of muskegon tomorrow after work, so the information is very helpful.
  21. WTG Capt Chris. Thanks for the report. Though I know it will be crowded, I hope to get out next weekend.
  22. I'll try it. Always looking for another way to enjoy the fish a "second time."
  23. Great question. I look forward to reading the pros answers.
