  1. Those smiles are what it's all about. Nice Job!!!
  2. I might be wrong, but I was always under the impression that most super braids were very similar and a bunch were even made in the same factory.
  3. Nice job Mike, I'll watch what you do saturday cause it looks like we'll be out sunday.
  4. Very nice mix, and great job with the kids!!!
  5. I had the same question sunday. We stopped at South Haven cause the waves looked good and went the big o'fer while everyone at St. Joe tore it up. I'd say it's harder to find the fish at South Haven then St. Joe, but there'll be way more people at St. Joe.
  6. I'm sure this was covered before, but what's the deal with the new plate tabs we can buy in Michigan for launches. Where do we get them? Are they a new tab, or do they combine with our current tabs? If we already bought our plate tabs for the year, can we "upgrade"? Thanks
  7. My sealine 47's don't hold as much as the convector's, but I put 150 yards of mono on followed by 150 yards of power pro. Mainly because my mono was dirt cheap and the power pro wasn't yet I wanted the ability to put out 250 to 300 feet of power pro.
  8. Don't forget to look into the new cannon system either. I hear they're pretty good too.
  9. Not too familiar with south haven, but we started at some fancy houses and trolled south to the power plant. Anywhere from 12' of water to 35' of water. Used everything in the arsenal, started with thin fish and rapalas, ended with flasher fly and spoons. Threw in other body baits too, mostly in orange but some darker to perch and goby colors, just trying to get a bite. Good news, I think we finally figured out the stupid zboards since we had the time. Thanks Maniac with the tips, they sure are finicky though and bending that arm with frozen hands isn't the easiest. I've gotta get a piece of wood to hold the arms next to the board though.
  10. nice job guys. I knew we should've gone to st. joe.
  11. Started out with the plans to fish St. Joe this morning. Stopped at South Haven to see what the lake looked like cause with the weather reports didn't really want to go to St. Joe and be blown off. The good news is that the waves were fine. A little rain early but it wasn't to bad. The bad news is that we didn't catch a single fish. 0 for 0 is what I'd call it. Still not a bust since everything ran really well for the shakedown cruise and heck, half my baits are now super clean after a good washing.
  12. I'm planning on my shakedown trip this sunday. Never been out for coho's but after seeing the results, I'm excited. Was wondering thoughts on where to go? I'm coming from Grand Rapids area and plan on either South Haven, St. Joe, or New Buffalo. Where do you recommend? It's an 18' aluminum so it's easy to tow. Thanks
