  2. I carry 2 300' 45#copper 2 full core lead core 2 200 45# copper 2 1000' wire dipsey rods 1 color 2 color 5 color and 7 color 36# leadcore
  3. Tough go there Mike better luck next time out . Hope to get out this weekend??????
  4. Tie it direct to your backer using an albright knot but if you are using braid like power pro or any of the superlines be sure to put a drop of super glue on the knot to stop slipping. I Have been doing this for several years and it works great and causes no problems. Use the same knot to attach your leader, u should not need to do anyting to stop slipping with mono or fluorocarbon leader material.
  5. D&R in Kalamazoo and Tackle Haven in Benton Harbor St.Joseph both have good supplies. Gander Mtn only has the Storm Thin Fin by Rapala.
  6. Nicely done Phil the Coho slam is still on!!!!!!!
  7. Its a little swollen but not interfering with anything on the boat. Thanks for asking.
  8. Nope brought them home I think the weather guesser may have it right for the next couple of days.:D
  9. Well done Kevin! We haven't gotten a Brown yet or a laker but the Kings have been good to us and we got a Dandy Steelhead Thursday. Now about trying not to catch coho, I will take all of them I can get. I like to eat Salmon and Silvers got it all over any other salmonid for just good eatin. Besides if they ever got to 20 lbs u would never land one.
  10. About 1ft, but the wind was fierce hard to keep the speed controlled. U missed a decent day but there are always more days.
  11. Nice work Terry good talking to you out there. Thanks for the pics, REALLY well done.
  12. Ok so I didnt plan to fish today becaus of a lousy weather outlook! However I left my good glasses on the boat Yesterday and @ 10:30 I called My buddy Mark and asked if he wanted to ride over to St Joe and get may glasses. Being as insane as I am he said sure. The rest of the story!!!! Ran down to Silver Beach and took a look at the Lake. Turned around ran back to the Marina fired up the MC2 and cleared the piers. First Line wet @ 1:30, kinda slow on a north troll staying on the edge of the mudline. Hit the north end of Jean Klok park and the 2 color with a chrome blue back Thin Fin fired, Nice King around 12#, trolled up to the Cement break wall and turned around. Got back to the pier heads and the same rod fired again but the fish jumped behind the boat befor we got the board off and it came loose, turned around at the pump station and the circus began double on dipseys on 1 back 25 and 28 both nice coho, the next fish was on the 2 color another King about 4# that had a small Lamprey on it and had eaten a hole in the fish's belly. Killed the Lamprey kept the king. Finished an hour and a half trip with 2 kings and 5 coho. The fish were a little deeper than they have been the riggers were set at 10 and 12 ft and took 2 of the fish. Not too bad for a last minute trip to get my glasses.:D
  13. My partner and I left the slip at about 8:30 headed out to the pier heads and seeing combat fishing going on in front, we headed south to the Chalets and set down on the north end of them. We ended the day with 10 coho and a hooked fisherman. I took a hook in the thumb getting a fish out of the net and had to push it thru and cut off the barb (ouch). We ended up 10 for 14 but the south bite has slowed a little. There were reports that there were fish north of Jean Klok Park. The action in front wasnt as good as it has been according to reports at the cleaning station. Another good day out of the Joe.;)
  14. Mike ck out the PM I sent u go north fm the piers stay in 15 to 35 FOW same program as last week but drop a couple down to 12 on the riggers, that was my best depth on riggers today but the surface was the deal, Most of the fish on flat lines Brads Thin fin on boards, and the 2 color of leadcore took 4 hits only boated 2 of them had Farmers on board. I just talked to a couple of guys that stayed just north of Jean Klok park and filled a 3 man limit in 2 hours. All coho today.
  15. no one point of the front hook broke off on all of them. Good thing I have more of the same. Been a banner year for deals on them. And Santa Was good to me. Yeah the hooks are pretty good but they are lite wire and tend to be a little fragile when Coho start doin the spin.
  16. Good job Ron we ran the same kind of day, muddy water rite off the bat and picked up 5 including the big king then it died. Ran to the Chalets and caught the rest of our fish but we had a hard time getting them into the boat lost 6 at the back of the boat the hooks on the ThinFin kept breaking off I have to replace at least one hook on 4 Thin Fins.
  17. Gonna remember to take the camera along to get pics and post.
