What brand is that? It look like it has a nice big fishing deck.

I took my boat with a retired friend and my cousin had his boat with a rookie crew. Not that great of a trip, with warm water all the way down to 100', and fog. We only got one fish in 135' back 210' on the magnum wire diver/sigs mountain dew fly/yellow tail coyote flasher. We also lost one on the 250' copper with a green Mylar J-plug. The fun began when it got dark and my cousins gps locked up. We where both out in 135' but had no idea where the other was. Long story short about 1.5 hours later and a hand held compass, he made his way back to shore. I had no worries for us, as my gps has the lake shore line on it but, with 1/8 mile visibility, his crew was a bit nervous. Most likely my last time out this year. With my boy in Football and my daughter in Equestrian team, my time is limited. Thanks to all that have been open to helping us this year. I average 10 - 20 trips to Muskegon every fall. We normally don't start till the water flips (some time late October or early November). We fish them up until Ice up. Two hogs that where released after photo was taken. My 12.75 that I got mounted My sons 11.4 that went back.

I bet that fast down was the trouble, I have had no tangles but, my riggers are some old Walker electric ( they are very slow).

Thanks for the report Hourlate. A lot of the guys that post a bunch have slowed there fishing down. As fall approaches and school starts it's hard to get out as often. Keep up the good work. Ken.

It's called a Fish Locator. I'm %99 sure it's isn't made any more. Cabelas did sell them.

Jason, My son and I made it up for the Thursday night bite. We went 1 for 2, with the 1 being 13 pounds coming in on a Moonshine Brook Trout. It came in 80' out in front of the Light House. The one we lost was half way between the Island Light house and the Coast Gard Station. We came back Saturday AM to try and take in more of that great ares you have. Sat. we where only 1 for 1 with a short fat king. The fog made thing a bit hectic. We took a ride out and under the bridge. I got a bunch of pics, but my camera some how got lost from the boat to the truck. If you hear of any one that may have found it could you let me know? It's a professional Cannon 10 D SLR with a high dollar lens.

I have had very good results doing it like this. Like Tom says , it takes a bit longer but, they pull to the side as going out.

I've been using the Walker mags on my wire dive and, i really like them. On my high diver I got some mag rings for the standard dippseys and I have had no tangles since. The hook up percentage has gone way up since switching over to th siggs flys with there owner hooks.

Saturday the wind layed down after 6pm so we motored out to 120' and set up. With the seas not to bad we ran 4 divers 4 riggers a full core and a 250 copper. The fish where very hungry as we landed 8 and knocked one off at the net. (a very big one at that 18+). The full core took a nice Steelhead with the Blue Flounder Pounder. Wire diver back 280' (at 300 back we where hitting the bottom in 130 fow) with the Blue flasher and a Siggs fly was by far the best set up for the big kings. It took these fish As well as the Big boy that my 1st mate was nice enough to knock off with the net. This fish pulled off 150' of wire. We got a few small kings on the assortment of Moon shine spoons as dark set in (details are kinda sketchy). Sunday am was not nice to us. My 19' Crestliner was bobbing around like a Ping Pong Ball in a hurricane. Boat control was not easy as one tangle after another really beat us up. Congrats to the guys that did good! We ended sunday 3 for 9 with only 2 small Kings and a Greaser.
