  1. Yup, gold Dodgers and spin n glos bouncing bottom. Assuming you have riggers set them about a foot or two off the bottom and you'll get the occasional bounce as the ball hits the bottom. It rings the dinner bell for hungry lakers. As for dipseys I attached a depth chart for you here. As FBD said, target the bottom five feet or so. Good luck!
  2. Any possibility of deleting this post? Accidentally posted it twice.
  3. 6 for 8 out of Port Sheldon with a steelie and 5 coho. Started at 190 and trolled SW for about an hour and a half until we found a pocket of em in about 230. Trolled the pocket for the rest of the night and didn't make a single pass through it without at least having a hit! What worked: SS Hawg Wild 125 Cu 3/3 (steelhead) orange-white spoon 175 Cu 1/2 moonshine yellow submarine 200 Cu 0/1 Fat Nancy paddle/spook fly dipsy back 165 1/1 UV mixed veggie rigger down 45 1/1

  5. Thanks for the report. Will be heading to sagatuck tomorrow morning with the crowd.
  6. I believe big weenie has instructions and tips at various speeds for tuning on their website. I'm no expert... All I know is meat catches fish!
  7. Great event! Thanks so much Larry for putting it together. Got some great gear for some great prices!
  8. Yup that is painful... My condolences! Last night also went 0 for 1 in PS. Good fish hit the 350 copper and broke off the blue bubble flasher and fly.
  9. Well thanks for the report anyway. (And the good news on the perch! That's an added bonus!)
  10. First a carp, and then a catfish! What's next a sturgeon? Thanks for the report!
  11. Very true FBD. Always help to find a boat that needs a tow, because you never know when it'll be you in that position. When we tow boats karma always seems to reward us when we are in need of one... Either that or it always makes us break down in the water XD
  12. 1 for 1 with a pig greaser on a 300 copper flounder pounder. 90 FOW, NE troll. Unfortunately that's about all I have to say... Went in early after getting sick of being tossed around by the angry lake. Hope somebody made it to the boat that was dead in the water. Anybody hear anything? Would hate to have engine trouble in seas like that.
  13. Went 5/5 this morning, starting just south of holland in 100 FOW. Hooked into a double first thing in the morning with only three rods out. Landed both 12 lb kings. One on a braid diver 150 back trolling SW in 110 with big weenie green holo uv glow whole bait rig. (What a mouthful) Other one was on a moonshine yellow submarine on 200 copper. Third fish was another king on the same meat rig going SW in 120 FOW. Had a short dry spell and then mid morning picked up two quick in 140, headed north. One was a steelie on the same yellow submarine 200 cooper. Other was a coho on a rigger 80 down with a big white pro troll paddle with a mixed fruit fly.
  14. Does anybody know if DreamWeaver still puts a glowing white "patch" on the back of their magnum blue dolphins? I have one DW blue dolphin with that patch on it and it outfishes every other spoon on our boat, including other blue dolphins. Wouldn't mind stocking up on more of them.
  15. Went 1/2 tonight both hits came right at sunset trolling south in 90 FOW. Landed an 12 pound king on an unknown orange spoon on 125 copper. Fish we lost was also a good king on a mag blue dolphin 50 feet down on down rigger. Great night to be out on the water!
  16. Good job on the fish! From what I heard saugatuck produced quite a few trout today for most boats.
  17. Hope they get going here eventually. Looked through our crews log book this morning and the first week of July 2012 there was a trip in there with 26 fish! Those were the days...
  18. Went 3/3 today, one trout and two kings... well one king and a straggler just over 10 inches. Started out in 80 FOW early this morning. Didnt get a fish till after the sun came up in 100 FOW. Lake trout on a 300 copper hello darling. Didnt get the next one till we pulled lines and found the shaker on 75 copper SS jäger bomb. The last rod in the water was a wire dipsy that got hit just before pulling it in. Couldn't tell you how far down it was but it was on a mixed veggies SD and meat rig in about 120 FOW. Trolled north almost the whole day. current was WHIPPING down there, started south but going almost 3 mph on the surface was equivalent to .6 mph SOG so we headed north.
  19. Actually my spoon is a straight white on the inside instead of the bronzeish goldish of a monkey puke. Sorry bad picture but I compared them and I don't think that's it. Northern king did sell just blanks for spoon makers, I suppose it could be custom made from the guy we got it from.
  20. The inside is more like a straight white. I guess pearly would describe it. Do you have a pic?
  21. It's got NK on the back so I'm assuming Northern King. Got it from a guy selling his salmon stuff last year so I don't really have any previous info on it
  22. Anybody know the name of this lure? It has the white instead of the gold so I know it isn't a tangerine. It's a pretty good lure, just wish I knew the name.
