  1. Great catch! Keep it up. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  2. Good job John. You beat me. I went 1 for 4 this Am. I lost a big one with my bad net job(est approx 16#). He flipped me the bird as he escaped! This guy was 7-1/2#, caught with rigger, wonderbread mag, down 35 in 105fow. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  3. Great Solo run! That's when I enjoy my coffee the most, right after lines are set and before the fish ATTACK! Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  4. Great action and catch for your crew! Thanks for the report. I was startled when the DNR came so far out on the lake to check the fisherman out. He didn't board me or interfere with my lines in the water. He did it with binoculars and asked me to hold up my license so he could see its color and went on his way. That was from a couple years ago. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  5. Sharpened all my hooks last two trips caught more fish, but did notice fish tangled me up trying to get off them. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  6. Very nice pictures of the Parker crew at work! The bait ball you presented must have looked like a buffet for the kings. Way to go! Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  7. We have bouys in the Great Lakes if you can find one near you. You can see the layered water temps. https://data.freeboard.tech/station/45029/ Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  8. You need a bigger cooler or start putting lures out that catch fish with hinges. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  9. Solo 4 for 9, fished 105-135. 105-115 best. All boated fish came off DRs. Lost 2 sets of main lures with sliders. Two nasty tangles and two broke lines getting fish to net position. One fish hit just as I loaded it and put it down. He spit the hook out before I could get it in. I couldn't get the 5th one even with an extra hour of fish time. Did get one 20# though. Port rigger, dwn 88, 105 fow with happee meal took king (7.62#), W trl, 5:39am Stb rigger, dwn 84, 111 fow with bloody nose mag king (8.8#), S trl. 6:29am Port rigger, dwn 84, 111 fow with goby slider, king (5#), N trl, 8:47am Port rigger, dwn 84, 115 fow, with wonderbread mag, king (20#), SW trl, 10:10am Troll speed was 2.4-2.6 sog. 10. Great cooler of fish! Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  11. What a trip you had. At least they got some nice size fish to take home after a bouncy ride. I certainly understand when it can be very challenging to change course when the nearby boat won't change it course. I always yield, unfortunately losing fishing time, but a tangled mess would be much worst. GOOD CALL. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  12. Your steelhead looked like the one in caught Friday, really skinny. There is no meat on him at all. I wonder what is going on with them. I've never seen them like that before. It's like the kings aren't letting them near the table. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  13. Great day. Loved that triple action you had! You'll be cleaning fish for a week! Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  14. Fished 5:45am-7:55. Lines down in 110fow. A fish caught 144-159fow. Fish weighed from 14-1/2#, 9#, 8-1/2#, 8# and 6.32#. Solo one man limit, what a day! 1-king 8#, 6:20am, happee meal mag, rigger bk 55, 2.6sog,W trl, ball temp 45.1, ball depth 106, 144fow. 2-king 14-1/2#, 6:40am, happee meal mag , rigger bk 65, 2.5 sog. N trl, ball temp 44, ball depth 111, 159fow. 3-king 9#, 7:05am, bloody nose mag, rigger bk 55 2.4sog, NW trl, ball temp 46.6, ball depth 103, 154fow. 4-king 8.8#, 7:09am, happee meal rv std slider, N trl, ball temp 48, ball depth 103. 154 fow. 5-steelhead 6.32#, 7:15am ,bloody nose std slider, NW trl, ball temp 48, ball depth 103. 154fow. This steelie looked skinny as a rail there was hardly much meat on him. Thought I was scrapping a carcass. Board lines did not produce any hits. But the deep rigger lines gave the fish time to cross the board line several times, but I untangled them Waves were slow and rolling Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  15. I think you're right. I should have hit my shots low and into the wind yesterday and gone golfing. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  16. What a story. Glad you made it back. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  17. I extend to you the Bumps are US membership. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  18. Is your track across the stern or on the side (port/starboard)? When I use mine, it's mounted on my side track with a track extension ( much like pulling wire for walleye on a river). I can rotate it to wherever I want to watch. I also made it portable to switch between my boats. Not enough room on my stern to mount it. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  19. Great catch! Bumps are us club. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  20. Nice catch! Good effort with good results. Love those extra lures. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  21. Fished solo 5:30- 9am, 90-130 fow, 1/3, lost 2 getting them to boat, but got one 8.8# king on an 8C with dragon slayer SD and grn white fly. Very bumpy entire time . Called it at 9am. Hope it improves for the night shift. Two misses on rigger with bloody nose mag. Ball Down 60 Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  22. BIG KINGS! Congratulations! Currents have been crazy lately. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  23. Good action and strategy. Nice king! Solo fishing is quite challenging. I feel like a hunter with his pole(rifle) in a moving tree stand(boat), waiting to get the big king.
  24. Great catch. Very good scorecard. How is your livescope mounted and facing? Is it on a pole so you can adjust to the front, side or back of boat or is it fixed like your other transom xducers? I use one on my littleboat when I'm fishing/ jigging/pitching the Detroit River river or muskegon lake for walleye. But i didn't find it as effective on the big lake for trolling. I'm glad your having success with it. Keep it up. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
  25. Timing is everything. Good luck for all the evening boys you owe me. I sucked up all the wind this Am. Catch some big ones tonight! Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app
