1 for 2 with a 9.5# steelhead (very unusual looking). Caught on a 6C with a lemonberry mag spoon, in 144fow at 10:48am, west troll, 2.3 sog. loss other in 155fow. I had a rod with SD and fly fall out of my rod holder while I was double handling everything. I thought it was lost for sure. 2 hrs later when I pulled up my DR there it was hanging by the fly hook on the cable. I pulled it all in and saved everything. I've had those days when I have tried every combination of lures, depths, boat speed and trolling patterns to no avail and then the next time in the same area I can't keep them off the boat. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App -

Holland am, 6-3

Turned at 130fow, didn't mark much of anything until we went back under 50fow, then a lot of bait balls. Thought about really heading out. But the water was so cold I hated to waste the gas and come up empty handed. Maybe next time. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App -
2 for 3, one small 2# coho and one 11.19# steelhead. Coho came in 129fow on DR slider jp slammer dark blue with ladderback, west of harbor on west troll. Big steel head came on Craigs flounder on 8color, in 46 fow nw of harbor on north troll. It's covering the coho in picture. Quite a troll 50-130 fow. Water was very cold, 1 ft waves. Surface temp 50.4. Speeds were 2.4-2.5 sog. Village joined me today. Sunny beautiful day. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

Solo, went 2 for 3, 15# king and 3.5# coho. Lost 3rd one as he unhooked on pull in. All 3 hits on DR'S back 50. 1st one at 8:07am in 115fow with ball down 84ft. Second one at 10:27 am in 146fow down 90ft. All hits on frozen blue dolphin. No hits on dipsys or board lures. West and SE trolls 2.6 to 2.9. Lake was nearly flat. Surface temp 49.2 ball depth temp 44.7-45.6. Meant Fishoak at launch also. Always interesting to run across Web site handles. I guess there were over 100 boats in Holland. -

Fished with Village today 9-3pm. 8 for 17, two kings 19.1# and 17.8#. The rest lakers between 4 and 6.5#. We couldn't keep them off our lures as we tried to catch the last 2 kings to get our limit. We kept releasing them near the boat. Then the rain came, we had no rain gear. Fished 80-120fow. Most hits came in a 1 hour period in middle of day in 90-100 fow northwest of harbor. Lures used were Craig's flounder, Rickety Ranger, Green nbk, JP Slammer, all mag size also imitation meat rig (blue/green). Riggers were down 55-75', back 24 and 50ft. Slide divers picked off the kings back 120 and 150 set at 2 and 3 respectively. Riggers, 170 and 240 coppers picked the laketrout. Shallower rods batted zero. If Village adds his video clip to this report you can see some of the action underwater. Great day! Saw some familiar faces at the launch who also did well.
