  1. Nice king! Take that camera with you, I like seeing those pictures. If you only get one you got a good one.
  2. Nice catch! How big was the king? Sprint car is good.
  3. How much did the brown weigh? Those other 8 coho and laker just made your two man limit. You must have an error in your count and released the other 2 coho right?
  4. I hear what you say. I know the walleye area extremely well. You can walk to shore by stepping on all the boats. Congrats on the catch.
  5. I was going to head down to St. Joe today. But the weather looked too good close to home. Headed south of Saugatuck. Went 5 for 5 all coho, one man limit. Fished on south troll 3.2 sog, in 12-28 fow. Lines down at 9am and up by 10:35. Fish came on yagerbomb uv mini and ladybug std on 2C and 3C. Lake was flat to 1ft surface temp 44 as was the bottom.
  6. What a great shakedown cruise and box of fish, congrats!
  7. Long day, shot out to 270ft, hoping to catch a bunch of larger cohos as we did last year. Nothing for 4 hours. All the fish we marked were between 170-249 fow with no takers. Ran back into 50-60ft to kill the skunk. Went 4 for 4 with 3 lakers and one coho (2.09#). Lakers were between 7.5# to 9#. Caught two lakers on mirage flies and Pro troll green flasher another on a JP Slammer on DRs and 250cu. Trolls were zig-zag mostly north at 1.6-2.2 sog. Coho was caught on Ice tea spoon with 150 copper. Water temp was 37.6 and 37.7 at 180 ft. Closer to shore was 37.7. Beautiful day on the lake, but surprised about the deeper fishing area. Seems like we are 2-3 weeks behind schedule? Village joined me today, he was fun to fish with as usual.
  8. That would be my guess. The largest one was almost 6" long.
  9. 1 for 1, a 15# laketrout (male) with two small fish in its stomach. Village joined me today and we met Halfpint. Fish came on a 2C with a 3.5 mag lip Red Devil, in 39.8 fow, sog 2.2, se troll, temp 37, time 11:26am. 1 ft waves. The skunk was real close to our boat today. Not sure of the small fish ID. If you can identify go for it. Also they were putting in the bouys or at least they are in the parking lot. They weren't active when we returned to the dock yet.
  10. Only half of the ramps are useable. The barge and tug are blocking one ramp and have made its associated ramp only good for one boat. It also pushed the ramp closer to the center launch so only one boat can launch between the two ramps. The ramp closest to the street has one side blocked by a tree trunk. So there are only three useable spots. I know it won't stop us! Holland DNR launch will open the parking lot across the street for Friday, Saturday and Sunday parking. I think the cleaning station will probaby be close still.
  11. Usually they put the remaining docks in at Port Sheldon also. But I have not verified the PS docks.

  14. There certainly were alot of boats out today. I thought it was the weekend. I put a few more hours on my new kicker motor and many lures in the water. Went 1 for 1 with a small coho on a orange with black wishbone thinfin, back 80 on a 3 color to chase the skunk out in 24.5 fow off Palisades at 11:10am. Lake was calm as reported with a 36.4 surface temp and 36.9 on bottom. Harbor temp was 44. Sent from my SM-T713 using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  15. Fished 10am-1:24pm, 2 for 2, both laketrout. Biggest was (male)11.79#, 34 -1/4" long. Caught on a DR with gold no-seeum fly and small red dodger in 43.5 fow at 12:17 pm, 2.1 sog, S troll, ball temp 36.1. Rigger was dragging bottom. Other was (female) 7.09# , 30" long, on west troll with 4C, teaspoon red ice spinner, 2.7 sog, 25.3 fow at 11:52 am, water temp 36.2. Waves were 2 ft rollers turning into 2 ft chop with occasional 3ft mixed in. Surface temp was 35.5 with nw wind picking up as we quit. Water temp at launch site was 42.8. We bounced around alot out there! Ran shallow north for some browns but did not get any. Came south and deeper to kill the skunk. Definitely chillier today. Village joined me for another great day.

  20. Fished 1-4pm, breaking in my new 9.9 kicker for my littleboat and figured I fish the last hour, when I could start trolling at a constant speed. Threw a couple of spoons on and started to drink my coffee. No bites for awhile then at 3:21pm pulled in my 1 for 1 catch. A 9.50# laketrout, in 30.4 fow on a DR with a red NBK std spoon, back 35 on a north troll. Water temp was 35.9. Waves were 3ft for a couple of hours and then subsided to 1-2ft. My dog loved it.
