  1. Nice job on the fish Frank....don't blame ya on the perch...some good eats there. Keep after em!
  2. :thumb:Sounds like a fun time Don. I did a similar venue on the bay a few years back, and it was a fun time to. And, we got some new tackle out of the deal.
  3. Nice job Richard....going to put Lake O' on the bucket list too, you pull a lot of fish, and HAWGS.....
  4. There seemed to be a big line of boats stretched from the north to the south, thankfully we were all alone until about the last 1/2 hour. It was a beautiful day out there... We pulled up to the dock, and you were just pulling out in your truck.. Keep after em....they may just not leave the bay.....
  5. Nice job Frank. Heard you on the radio today. We worked for them but finished with some nice fish!
  6. Took FishinMachine2 up on an offer to fish this morning, and I'm glad I was able to get out. Went south to Point Au Gres and deployed lines, consisting of inlines and crawler harnesses 30-50' back. 25-35FOW all alone today, I guess we were a one boat wolf pack . Worked an area and boxed our 10 walleye. We had a lot of short strikes, there and gone walleye today. Kept mixing up blade patterns to see if there was something in particular they were interested in. Mixed veggies was a close 2nd to a purple/white blade that shined today. Some pretty nice fish out there to be had still....Walleye, the other white meat Thanks Scott!
  7. That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure about others, but mono is what I use on the riggers...
  8. thanks for the report, nice job on the fish. Been a few years, but I've always enjoyed the port of Pentwater......nice place to be
  9. You got that right Frank! With this, it will make for 17 functional rod holders to use to fish, and in total 27 rod holders.....I do have 4 more holders lying around in the garage....maybe I'll find a spot for those too.....
  10. Nicely done! We have been talking about jogging the open water of Saginaw bay, looks like we're going to nerd to do it. Hoping it works as good for us as you!
  11. I have a triple tree on each side already, which allows me to run 6 inline planer board lines, I will run #7 & #8 off of those 2 that are more horizontal. Nice to have options.
  12. Okay boys..... I finally found a bit of time to do the tweaking I wanted to do to set the rod holders and the mounts for the launcher, it's complete, only one more thing to do and that's to drill 6 holes in the hard top and fasten this to it. could have gone with 9 rod holders for storage alone, but at this point 7 should do, all while gaining 2 more planer board rod holders with the launcher set up this way.
  13. Nice job on the fish. And good thinking about the ol' lady, at least now you'll be able to fish another day
  14. Quality over quantity...sounds like some great fish to be had. Thanks for sharing
  15. That's great to see! You have been at it on the "dead side" long enough, with reports, and pics showing that there are fish to be had! It's great to see. Keep on em!
  16. and to FishSniffer....without that input I would be lost
  17. thanks for the input Richard. I didn't think it was solid glass. I'll play around with it and see what I like best. It has 3 mounting brackets, with 2 holes per bracket. Just want to do it right, so I don't lose any gear...
  18. Yup. Planning on counter sinking on the bottom side
  19. Did you use any kind of epoxy in the holes for the lags? Hate to see it come loose....
  20. Hey guys, about ready to mount the new rocket launcher to the hard top. I have a Thompson 210 fisherman. My question is this?????? What would be the best way to fasten this to the hard top? It has been suggested to use thru bolts. The hard top seems to be a good 2-3" thick, I can physically get up and walk on it, but I'm not sure that it's fiberglass all the way thru. The launcher came with 3 mounting brackets to fasten to the surface, each bracket will take 2 fasteners. Thanks for any insight you can offer.....
  21. Nice job Priority 1! You gotta strike while the iron's hot! Keep it up:thumb:
  22. Tagged along with the FishSniffer for a much needed salmon fishing trip on Sunday. Went out of Muskegon. Left the dock about 530 am and back to the dock just before 1PM. Worked waters between 60fow out to 210fow. Riggers, blood run copper, and blood run wire on the divers, everything took hits, however, it was clear that the wire divers with flasher/fly combos ruled the day. Mags 125-185 back, and 155 ish on the high divers. finished the day with a nice box of fish, couple of steel, a ho ho, and some kings. 9or 10 for 17 ish was the count, and we through back one mud chicken too. We had a lot of violent strikes with fish there and gone quickly. Thanks FishSniffer for a great day out of Muskegon.....
