  1. I agree Frank:thumb: Good looking fish...Nice footage
  2. Mine too....it only takes one good "WHACK" of the noggin, and it don't happen again....but another foot would be nice.........Wonder what the impact will have on the ride and handling of the boat....
  3. I was thinking of doing that too John. I have close to 30-40 gallons in mine, it's been treated for hibernation and everything. I have not had any issues since I've owned the boat. I have always left close to a full tank in it and treated with Stabill. This year my goal was to try the opposite, and burn almost all of the fuel out of it, but that didn't work out as planned.
  4. Bar none best lure for us was DW big white paddle, KRW riverside fly....
  5. I also find the worst day of the weekend is when I leave, and the best day of the weekend is when I return. Nothing warms ya up more than 3 kids smiling ear to ear excited to see daddy.......
  6. I have found it to be a balancing act. I spend what time i can fishing, but also don't neglect being the father the kids need me to be. Hoping this summer i can mix them together and spend some quality time with them on the water. We have done a little perch fishing, a little ice fishing, and they seem to really enjoy it. I believe it's not so much the activity, rather spending quality time with daddy. They make my world go round. H
  7. Congratulations! Believe me, time is gonna slip by so much faster. These are the days we'll never get back. Blink & they're 5..... Best of luck!
  8. Have fun making that Big Tin Can what you want it to be! I'll likely see you early spring on the sunrise side.....
  9. My fishing season is over! This weekend was my last scheduled trip for the year. The weather did not cooperate, so fishing out of the boat did not happen. Ran up to fish a river yesterday, which yielded one coho. Then from there I took the scenic route up to the boat. Checked out the lake. which didn't look bad near shore, but offshore it was ROLLING. Summation of the season: MY TIMING STUNK! Every time we fished we were faced with less than ideal conditions. Whether it be wind, or the water just never set up for us to capitalize on some easy fishing. It amazes me that every single trip for salmon this year was affected by weather conditions. This is a first for me. Hoping next year things are a bit better for me and the crew. We worked our tales off for everything we caught, and by no means was it a horrible season, just a lot more work than usual. BRING ON THE ICE!
  10. :thumb:According to the Walker Rep/Serviceman I spoke to, if it's an older Walker, it will not be a problem for the new motor. Just a bit of customization to make it fit into the older housing.
  11. Yes, quite annoying IMO! post a legit report, and that in itself will do the selling......
  12. Not sure what I will do with my old motors. I have ZERO intentiions of rigging them for a planer system. I have tried the big boards, several different kinds, and they are not for me.
  13. Good deal, spoke with the fellas in Ludville today, and their pricing was right about where you mentioned. And, you're right, much better than the cost of a new rigger. So, it is done! New motors by the spring.
  14. This is more cost effective than buying new riggers IMO, I will start investigating next week when the boat is at home. Mine are OLD riggers, very slow retrieve, which typically isn't an issue. But we have been fishing very deep the last few times out and I hate WAITING on my ball to come up from 250'
  15. What's the price tag on new motors for walker's? & who did the Work?
  16. They are the white ones, i think cabelas innerflow rods. Seem to handle braid dipsys with not issue
  17. Looking to add some wire to my lineup, and the costs of these wire rods has me .....so I have 5 innerflow rods already, maybe save myself some $$$$$ and utilize these.
  18. Jameson Irish whiskey neat is okay, I prefer bourbon on the rocks. Been enjoying Grand Martinis lately Shot of Bombay, 3/4 shot grand marnier, 2/3 table spoon of sweetened lime juice and 2 table spoons of OJ, shaken....
  19. I have a rigger board on the stern of my boat, it goes from one side to the other. Initially when I bought my boat there was one at each corner and then one toward the middle on each side of the out-drive. Off set in the middle to clear the out-drive. Anyways, I bought and put a kicker on my boat and deep sixed one of my riggers, now only utilizing 3 of the four. Take some time and play around with the layout and you maybe able to set them in a decent position to enable the use of 4. But, in my case, I think less is more. I think if I had #4 on, it would only be a hassle.
