  1. Fished Au Gres Saturday & Sunday. Got away from the crowd a little bit and found some active fish. Fished 25-45fow. 4 inlines and 2 bouncers over the side. Pinks, purples, perch color and some brite colors in the mix. Saturday we ended up with 10 healthy walleye, we measured the smallest fish, and it measured 18" http://i1014.photobucket.com/albums/af263/J-Wheeler/060913131845_zps738698e2.jpg' alt='060913131845_zps738698e2.jpg'>
  2. Nice "running" into you at the launch on Saturday. What a great day to be out.
  3. Nice job Chummer....I ran right past you on Saturday morning, even hollered out the window to you. Sure was a great weekend to be out walleye fishing!
  4. My BIL had the same issues with his boat/prop. Once he found the correct prop, his boat gets up on plane in a hurry (as it should). With the incorrect prop on his boat it seemed like it was a slow boat to china to get on plane. Like it had to get momentum going, somewhat doggy deliverance of power, to get up on plane. Now you just hit the gas and go
  5. I can verify a $100 transmitter/tag for walleye. Received the money, however I never did receive any information, which I was extremely interested in. But, $100 in the gas tank was nice
  6. Nice job Justin! Glad to hear you "snuck in" a quick trip
  7. Nice job guys. Like anything else, put the time in and you'll figure it out. Keep after em!
  8. nice job Terry! If the weather cooperates I'm looking to get my kids out after some fish....I know it will be a hoot!
  9. Nice job on the fish & thanks for the report. Seems they had lockjaw after Sunday morning. :thumb:
  10. Once again had an opportunity to fish out of Au Gres with FishinMachine2, hard to pass it up with the weather forecasted. Rolled out of bed about 4am to start my day. We started out front of Au Gres where the masses seemed to be fishing. We put 6 in the boat in short order. Inlines and harnesses doing the damage. At about 930am the bite just died, and I mean DIED. We did what we could to try and finish out the limit there, but they just didn't want to go. So we slid into a bit shallower water and started working for the limit. We missed a few pull backs, and boated 2 more to round out the day with 8 walleye. We had a bonus brown trout in the mix, and a big ol' kitty cat played too. Thanks for another fun trip Scott!
  11. Nice job Mike We were near you in spot #1, and spot # plan D. That bite died after 930 am in spot #1, and I mean it DIED...nice job on the fish!
  12. Nice job Captain!! As always....some nice big fat slobs in the mix!
  13. Nice job Mike And to think, it's only going to get better from now through the end of June.....
  14. Hey guys, thought I would throw this up here in an effort to see if anyone on GLF maybe interested, available to help out. Thanks HELP! We need another boat or two for our Tight Lines for Troops event this weekend. If you have a 25 foot plus boat to fit four vets comfortably and would be willing to participate in this event give Craig Kent a call at 231-920-1680
  15. This is certainly a hot topic around the great lakes. There are a lot of variables IMO to the lower lake levels. The drought that we experienced last summer didn't help anything. Also, something I don't see much talk about is that the amount of water flowing from L. Superior through the St Mary's is also at a lower level
  16. I cut my own out of whole herring, a lot more bang for your buck. I have not brined mine to this point, we cut on the fly. Ran out last year, and a good buddy of mine had cut his own strips out of the whole herring and brined it. Simple mix that he explained, and what I found was that the brined herring strips he made last longer than fresh cut. They were more durable. They all catch fish
  17. Nice job on the fish, 15 bites is good action. We've all had those days, and I've always thought, I would rather go 8/15 than go 8/8.
