  8. NII DEEP made its way home today. did stop by Port Sheldon on the way home. 7 trucks at the ramp. talked to a couple of guys that just came in, said it was slow today, but limited out on thursday, here we go - get ready to yell--fish on.......
  9. I picked up a set of 4 of these from Wallymart and used a spring loaded clamp to hold them after my first night fish I will let you know how they worked.
  10. I loved mine - just a net loved them more... so they left me...
  11. I have Digi II - they don't use the bottom as a ref. point, but where you have them set for depth, then you can set a movement up in feet 3,5,7,or 9" and time in seconds that you want it to move up and then return back down. since these are my first set of riggers, we tried it a couple of times when thing would get slow. things still stayed slow. did not put any fish in the box while this was running. did not notice any extra drain on the batteries. no extra wear / tear on the riggers. They can be fun to play tricks on the crew. I did this once when no one was looking and set it up 7' /3 mins. then sat back down. it started it first move and the rod jumped up, my buddy quick grabbed the rod. I was laughing a little....
  12. great shots - I might just have to try that River thing soon.
  13. thanks Aaron, I mostly fish out of PS, I work in Hudsonville so alot of times I just bring the boat to work and leave from there.

  15. what is the fishing like in the Cleveland area - I have just set my boat up for Lake MI, but I have a job interview in the Cleveland area. may be looking to move. I hear alot about Walleyees, what about Kings, Steelhead, Lakers?
  16. Hey Ken - I been with Allstate - no issues - they covered my lower end and some electronics a few years back. I do keep a Boat US membership just for towing. did come in hand when the lower unit went out. 2 miles out between GH & Muskegon in 3-5 footers - could not get anyone to come back out for a tow. ended up having the tow boat out of Muskegon come tow us in. would have been a $500 bill, for only $50. I tried to get Meemic to cover the boat under my auto/homeowners - but Allstate gave me a better deal and it insured year around.
  17. Mike, not sure what Jeff has in mind, but maybe pulling a random photo out of the gallery and posting it on the home page.
  18. Ludington - Chucks - Grill at the dock - Boat
  19. Welcome to the site. If I were going to spend time family and Fish, I would look to Pentwater:), Ludington:), or Grand Haven all have a lot for the family to do - (the 1st two would be my primary choice to get more of the UP North feel:grin:) what to target - depends on your time of the year - keep checking the site's reports as you get close to your trip. that will give you a starting point for depth and tackle choice. if you are coming mid summer just be ready to go deep. good luck,
  20. For all you Grand Rapids area folks - FYI - I stoped at the Outdoorsmen yesterday to pick up a couple Church Boards for spring - they were out - but I was told that March 4-5-& 6th they would be having their spring tackle sale. and the Church boards would be one of the sale items. no I'm not promoting for the store, but if we all can save a few bucks - lets help each other out.
