  6. Had Ryanout this morning. Started 90 fow @ 6:20am with a NW troll. first rip on a dispy MT SD w/ siggs fly 175 back set 1.5. = 11 lbs king while bringing that one in the copper started to pull line, then stopped. I checked it could not feel any thing so we left it alone until the fish was in went back to check copper still didn't feel like a fish and the board was pulling where it should have been, pulled it any way 4-5 pound king was on it. ace hi green spatter back other dispsy went off 188 back set on 2.5 same setup as other, 14lb king full core the ace hi blue spatter back 6lb king each rigger went off, both go off half way to boat, spoons, mix veggie, and JP fire dog pulled lines 10:30 ended 4 for 6 not a bad day, was not even planning on going this weekend.
  7. still sounds like a good trip double d.
  8. not sure if its the boat or the lucky yellow sweatshirt..... good job kenny - NII Deep might be done for the year. I noticed the bilge was running a little to often, after we had the boat on the trailer the exahaust bellow had a nice 4 in slit, I didn't feel like looking any further but I expect the drive shaft bellow to be the same, just don't see the time to get her fixed up. hope you can make room aboard sparky. jon
  9. nice work ken, what time you headed to muskegon next weekend
  10. i'll be in AZ all weekend ,one lesson learned - next time I take out the sleepy head family "this include s me" - will be a night fish, + i'll have to add auto pilot to keep the boat straight it was still a good trip
  11. Took the whole family out Sunday for a boat ride. Nobody likes to get up early so ..... boat in water around 10:30. did have two rips. 300 copper went off after about 15 in the water with a AceHi blue spatter back. lost fish. we trolled for about another 1 hour, family was bored and hot, wanted to swim. so we started pulling lines. wife and son had tangled a 5 color high line down the chute with one of the riggers. while they were trying to get that under control, one of the dipseys went off, felt like a good fish. I tried to keep in running while they were working on the tangle, luck ran out and another one off. but it was a great boat ride, went up to GH for ponto pups and Ice cream.
  12. Field Test of Eyes Flies I like the looks of the flies, seam to be built well and colors ok. not sure of the hook setup with the double hooks, when I run them again I going to switch them over to a standard. I have yet to take a fish or even a hit on these flies. I have had other flies in the water at the same time and have had hits, and fish in the boat. I thank the good folks of eye flies for the oppurtinity to test their product. I have had these in the water twice now and will continue to give them a try. see below the pictures for more details of each trip. Boat: N II DEEP Times out and ran. twice Location: 1. Pentwater, Michigan June 26 Late Afternoon 2. Holland, Michigan July 17 - PM Pentwater, condition started rough 2-3 and waves built 4-5, ran both setups along with two other fly flasher combo, 2 inline planners on full core, and 2 riggers. fished for 4 hours not a single hit on anything. it was a late start this day due to a trailer flat on the way up, storms the night before and early am may have also played a factor in the condition of the lake, it was rough. was not able to get back out on Sunday due to a flight out to AZ. Holland - a much better trip out. went 2-5 on a night fish. the two in the box come off plugs on full copper setups. 2 dispy went off, but not on these flies, was running a similar paddle on the other side of the boat, it went off, and a blue paddle went off, the other release was a 11" white paddle down deep on a rigger. marked alot of fish this night and with 3 getting off. both trips we targeted the 85 to 120 fow. running the bottom third of the water column. would I buy these flies - if I walked into a bait shop and picked a couple up to try yes, but unless they start hooking up fish I'll stick to the two I have from the test.
  13. buy a blank Micro SD card and just copy the information from the CF card to the Micro SD. it is worth a shot. you should be able to transfer the media using a usb card reader.
  14. Late add on to this report, Went out along side Ken Sat. night, along with me was Ryan (undertoe) and 1st time Rookie Jerry from my hood. Jerry had a blast and can't wait to go again. we setup and ran a very similar program to Ken, started 120 fow and work a north and south troll all night. ended up 2 for 5. first rip on a inside dipsy, MT Dew spin doc with siggs fly, after a couple of jumps said good bye to Jerry:eek:, next one came on a full core w/spoon green dolphin. got off - take a seat Ryan I'm up next:D. 400 copper ace hi blue spatter back - that ones in the boat. Rigger went off - (I have riggers? 1st rigger hit for the year) 11 white paddle with a siggs fly. jerry strike 2. 400 copper on the other side of the boat goes off same ace hi blue spatter back (I love this plug) I grabbed the pole so.......... its in the box.... it was good to talk with ken, phil, Tom(fish taco) on the water and at the fish cleanning station. hope to be back out in a few weeks.

  18. I had sent him an e-mail and plan to order the stacker release when they go on sales later this month. here is his response to me plus his contact info. Hi Jon, There is one store in Michigan that carries my release. (Frank's Great Outdoors). As far as the stacker goes, the parts are in my hand and we are tweaking the mold to make sure each part is precise. I anticipate having some ready to go by July 2nd. We could add you to our stacker contact list, so you will receive an email when they are ready. Thanks for the inquiry. Keith Chamberlain Northern Strike Chamberlain Release 202 Kinsey Rd.
