    Still slow in Fairport. Friend said it took 6 hrs of fishing for an 18 pounder. That was the only fish landed.

    I had to hard reset mine when I initially set mine up out of the box this spring, but it's been fine since. Might be worth pulling off the boat to see if it makes a difference. Heat isn't an issue in the UP right now:(

    Oops I just went to Big Jons website.....didn't realize they had a captains pak electrics:p.

    If you run downriggers off the tracks I would use a metal backer. If you are just using it for pole holders then plywood backer would be sufficient.

    Not sure, but the Brutes are rated for 20 pounds plus and the captains pak's are just like the Brutes without the electrical motors. Maybe shoot an email off to Big Jon to be sure. I can't see a problem other then having to reel those big weights up manually.

    Some of the movie critics are beating this movie up. I liked the first one, so I will check this one out as well. Probobly wait till its on dvd though:D

    Get down to Fairport its a magical place even when you don't catch fish and thats hard to do in Fairport:D

    Congrats Josh! I really think you will like your new Big Jon's. I have 2 manual one cranks myself and really love them....not as much as my electrics though;) Great story as that probobly made Bromley's job picking the winner easier:D
