  1. Not sure if this is okay? If its not please let me know and I will edit it out! Was surfing and came across this killer deal on a fishfinder if anyone is in the market for one. Raymarine DS600X for $325 with dual freq ducer.http://www.bethel-marine.com/html/specials.html I just bought one last week for $500 and I thought that was a deal:(
  2. I won 2 manual capt paks a couple of years ago in a fishing tournament. Well the clutches never did work real well. In fact last year had to use channel locks to tighten the clutch to get it to somewhat hold. Well I asked if they could be retrofitted to the new one crank clutch system, and they told me yes it can be done, and it would be covered under warrenty. I think that speaks volumes about these guys and their great customer service. Makes me feel great about purchasing the new brutes from them. Thumbs up:D
  3. I think I would even wear my carharts to get some lake time right now. Cool vid.
  4. No doubt! I'm going to have to buy me one of these for the boat! http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q23/vitalidle/Flipcam.jpg"]
  5. Ouch! Glad to hear your okay!
  6. How about somthing like a light dimmer switch? I bet radio shack would have somthing your looking for as well.
  7. I guess with the gold or platinum chip you get a free high definition fish N chip. Will be interesting to see how it looks.
  8. How was the race?

  9. My first experience on the big lake was back in the late 70's. My dad had a 14ft aluminum with a 20hp evinrude. My dad sold that in the mid 80's and then bought a 89 24ft Rinker. I knew when I got off the big pond and came home I was buying a boat for myself. I bought a 19 1/2 silverline in 96 and recently upgraded to my present boat a 24ft sea ray sorrento. This will be my 4th season with this boat. My first fish caught was a brown about 18 inches I believe back in the late 70's. I was hooked no pun intended ever since.I haven't really got serious about trolling for salmon until the last 3 years. I finally will have my boat rigged the way I always wanted it this year. Pretty excited for spring to come:D
  10. It's about 11 miles out from the island If my memory serves me. Its been about 5 years since I have fished the hump. I will get the cordinates to ya when I can get to my boat:D
  11. I love it! It really has treated me well. I put a new engine and outdrive on it 3 years ago, so she is in pretty good shape mechanically. I need to do some upholstery work now. Sorry for the late response I didn't even notice until just now.

  12. This chartplotter thing is all new to me. Other then seeing them while on other boats I have no experience with them. Im pretty excited about owning one. So the Lake Master chips cover the great lakes as well?
  13. You could almost use that as a wakeboard:)
  14. Good point! Thanks can't come soon enough! Nice eh! Marquette has had its share of the lake effect this year! I have fished the big reef. We don't fish it much anymore, because there are lots of fats that took over. There is a spot a bit closer called Grumps hump, and a spot right off The Au Sable light house. Most of the lakers you pick up are the nice native lakers.
  15. Just took these pics outside the shop. Spring is so far away for us:( http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q23/vitalidle/WWTPUpgrades135.jpg"] http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q23/vitalidle/WWTPUpgrades136.jpg"] http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q23/vitalidle/WWTPUpgrades137.jpg"]
  16. I just bought the Platinum! I will give you all some feedback when I use it with some screenshots:D
  17. I just bought a Globalmap 8200. Need your opinions.....is the price difference worth it to buy the platinum over the gold charts?
  18. hahaha thanks. I wish God would give us a break on the weather! Glad to be here. Yep I do. We only get about 2-4 weeks in the spring and fall for Kings, so we head to fairport the rest of the summer to fish them. Thanks. I wish I was retired:p
  19. Thanks Mike! I agree on the long winter for sure. We started getting snow on the 14th of November and it hasn't quit. We are around 200" for the year so far. The boat pic in my avatar is mine. Its the only one I have on this puter. Pics will have to wait till spring, but I will be sure to take some when I get all my stuff rigged up. I just bought the new big jon brutes, just had the manuals before. Also bought a Radar Arch & Radar with GPS plotter. I just had a handheld before. So it will be a busy spring rigging! Anyway enough of my ramblings.
  20. Hello everyone! Great site! I have been lurking for awhile, but decided it was time to introduce myself. Im a Yooper who loves to fish salmon! Im excited for the 09 season, as my big boat will finally be fully outfitted the way I always wanted it:grin:
