  2. It was worse a two weeks ago than it was in the spring. Still usable. Wear boots. Don't pay for the parking fee. It's free. 80% of the lot was under water a two weeks ago.
  3. Anyone know what kind of shape the Harbor Island Boat Launch is in these days? I know was under water most of the summer... Thanks

  12. Lucky solo trip this morning, Ended 5 for 8. Fish west and south west. 4# steely (released), 16 and 23 lb King all on white with black dots ace high plugs early in the morning. 11# coho on green spin Doctor Green fly. 7# coho on nbk spoon. Lost a big king on moo moo meat rig, and had a couple of other quick lost fish. Worked a lot of water from 80 to 160, bites were spread out.

  14. Took my son out for his birthday. Launched at 9 am. Marked tons of bait and arches in 80 - 100 fow south of the pier. Fished 80 fow out to 150 fow. Had a miss in 150 fow on a 200 Cu, RV green flounder. Picked up a nice coho in 80 fow on a 300 Cu, blue haze paddle and meat rig. That was it. Pulled lines at 1:30. Thought about going deeper, but had a buddy that went out to 300 fow and back without a bump. Decided to stay in where we were at least marking fish and try and force feed them. 15. Gotta work for them. Nice job. Sent from my LG-Q710AL using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  16. TOTALLY love the electric brakes, No more jerk to stop and start and much better brake control. I do disconnect before backing into the water and activate brake from controller after loading to dry brakes.
  17. Thanks for keeping us posted on the fishing in your area. There are too many lakers throughout the great lakes eating precious forage that could be utilized for kings and other silver fish. I hate fishing for them, like pulling in a snagged garbage bag. Hope some kings show up soon for you, the MDNR plants more kings in northern lake Huron than they do in all of Lk Michigan. The stocking sites definitely need to be reviewed. Might be better to spread them out along the south coast of the UP and in other places to get a better fishery return for anglers.
  18. I have an early 2016 Minnkota Terrova I-pilot control head and remote control for sale. This is pre-bluetooth version released late in 2016. If you have a standard Minnkota Terrova and want to add the ability to have remote steering control from anywhere in the boat, Auto-pilot, etc. I just purchased a new to me boat and upgraded to the I-pilot lInk system and no longer need the i-pilot components. There is nothing wrong with it. The original owner barely used the unit. $300.00 gets you the plug and play control head and the remote control. You simply remove the top cover of your existing terrova and unplug the wire harness. Plug in the new head and re-attach with screws. You are good to go with remote control of all features. 715-808-1480, please text with inquiries.
  19. Was worried about the big storm forming off of Holland, but it stayed south. Fished 6:30 until 10:30. Went 4-4. 3 kings, 1 steelhead. Nothing huge but good sized fish. Kings were immatures and biggest ran just under 15 lbs. 2.0-2.5 mph. 120-150 fow. 200 copper & Lyman plug. 400 copper & Moonshine Double Trouble Rigger 67 - Silver streak mag blue dolphin Mag Diver on 3 back 145 - Kevorvian Spin Doctor and Mirage Fly with green beads.
  20. Worst season we have ever had in Ludington in terms of numbers. At least we are getting some big fish but I'd rather have more action.
  21. Fished up by the bathhouse (south of Big Sable Point) first thing in the dark in 70 feet, didn't mark much so moved out deeper to 130 on the ledge. The morning bite didn't materialize until later around 8:30 when we had the low diver set at 110 go off twice, both nice fish but they came unglued. Both on a froggy DW paddle and a UV gasoline (chartreuse) meat rig. Seems tougher fishing this year in Ludington but the fish are big.
  22. Buying new trailer and one of the trailers I am looking at has "fully submersible" electric disk brakes both axles instead of surge hydraulic disk on both axles. Anyone have experience with electric on boat trailer? Issues? Love them or absolutely hate them? Thx, Muddy
  23. Well, if you want Lakers they are everywhere. We fished from 30 FOW to 200 FOW and never found a king, coho, steelhead or brown. Nothing but lakers, Chartreuse and Orange were the colors they hit on. They hit from 25 - 70 foot down. Spoons and flies both worked. The only place we didn't fish but should have is off the northeast corner or Mackinac Island on he hump. There is a marker for a fishing net there so we avoided it. However; we drove over it and went from 90 FOW to 14 FOW really quick. All the way up and down that up was stacked full of fish, don't know what they are and didn't attempt to fish them but it was full of fish. The charter guys we talked to said the Salmon were hot and heavy for about two weeks then totally disappeared. Can't find them from Hessel to Detour to Roger City.
  24. Water level going down. Still crazy high but we don't get our feet wet getting to the boat. Hope it drops 3 feet more before winter. FYI...Check out the Berkley Bassmaster Elite Series Tournament. 5 bass weight 25-pound, 9-ounce https://expo.newyorkupstate.com/life-and-culture/g66l-2019/08/805efaa682404/ga-angler-wins-100000-with-unexpected-rally-at-st-lawrence-river-bass-tourney.html
