2MD Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago probably PUG's last trip of the year sunrise bite was solid at first in that 80-90fow and what worked best was riggers down 35 and also 45 with yellow gobi being the hot bait went 6 for 8 5 salmon and then also a nice steelhead on half core with orange spoon - lost a second steelhead on same setup later in morning in 110fow too also later in morning connected with a fought a bigger fish on copp350 half a meal spoon in 135fow (never seen it but it did lots of runs and assume it was a monster steelhead or a jumbo 3yr old) unfortunately came off after 20min 2
jdh Posted 48 minutes ago Posted 48 minutes ago Nice job! There are still mature kings out there - just not very many. Got into some fresh fish in river near the river mouth a bit north on Saturday. I went out for the evening bite in Port Sheldon last night. Couldn't get anything going on next years kings or steelhead, but did get three shakers between 1 and 2 lbs. Lots of fish in the 80-120 range from 20 down to the bottom. Livescope had them chasing lures, but turning away before biting, probably should have switched to smaller spoons. Short trip though - fished from 6:30 pm until 8 pm. -JDH 2
