littleboat Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 Fished solo 45-70fow, 6:30-12pm, 3/5 all kings, 5#, 7# & 8#, two on riggers and one on wire diver with orange disk. Lost one on a fly by bite and one when I went to net him. I gave him to much slack when I went to reach for the net. He saw his chance to jump the hook and he did. Dam net man! Riggers were down 30 & 52 ft, in 56fow both times. Ball temp were 47-48°, sog 2.3-2.4, W & S troll. dipsy was 70 back set 3. Bites came at 6:48am(5#) Double Trouble mag, 9:43am(7#)Artic Ice mag and 11:33am(8#)(dipsy bk 70),Mixed veggie mag. Lake was flat, wind 0-5mph, surface temp 54°. Had one rider stuck on my rigger. This could have been a doubleheader if a king would have bitten.Lots of scattered fish, small and a couple of large bait balls. Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App 5

littleboat Posted June 6, 2025 Author Posted June 6, 2025 I'm glad your boat is fixed. You might get some larger kings in the evening. Good luck!Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App 1
slowboyspoon Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 Thanks for the report! Might try out that skinny water in the AM.
zgrinder on Fin Warrior Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 My compliments on fishing in tight as most of the reports have been from beyond 150 FOW. And you found the bait which is meaningful. Good report.
FBD Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 Based on this report changed out plans from working the beach to working out a bit deeper. Ended up 4/5 three nice 5# kings and a deeply hooked 2# king. North troll only 59’ only mixed veggies nailer out 120’ on a slide diver and a moonshine bloody nose 30’ down on a one color SWR. Lost fish was on a fire ball DW little devil off a half core. 4
littleboat Posted June 8, 2025 Author Posted June 8, 2025 Nice catch. I'm glad the report helped. Fish bites have been tough this spring.I used my small boat 16-1/2' to give a smaller footprint (quieter) hoping it would make a difference. I think it did.Sent from my SM-A156U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App 1
