  1. I wonder if I could get one to attack me. Meow here kitty kitty.
  2. Randy, Tell Rick I said howdy. Putting things into perspective it's far better to have something wrong with mechanical things, than human things. A few months and your pocketbook will heal. I'm glad the TadPole is ready to ROCK. B. Break O. Out A. Another T. Thousand. I know the G didn't cover this one, but what the heck.
  3. Jeff, GJ on the solo Steel. It will keep getting better.
  4. Nice pic Jeff. I can smell and taste those SHROOMS.
  5. Kevin, A warm welcome to the GLF site. You will like it here. Call me when you get up this way.
  6. What is it a couple of roads past Frank's??? Have the boy keep track and make it his responsibility. I'll bet you never miss it again. LOL:) Kids are great.
  7. Not bad Tom. The solid E. winds since Friday has things churned a bit. I usually sit things out for a day after a substantial blow. Think W. shore shallows on a day like today.
  8. Congrats on the unique bird.
  9. Trees: I never knew what I was missing until I built these S.S. Trees. I have added a clamp on rod holder to each side for nets. I use a S.S. Detent Pin to keep them in place. Mine pivot towards the back for docking and travel. I pull up to 10 boards. Make them 9 inches deep.
  10. Lake Trout rules changed this year. Not sure the dates.
  11. AuGres Seasonal is just a $24 DNR boat launch sticker. There isn't a fish cleaning station at the AuGres Launch.
  12. Dave, I fish the other side of Lake Huron mostly in the Saginaw Bay. A very warm welcome to the GLF site. Someone will wake up and chime in on Port Franks. Give us shout if you need anything.
  13. Capt Bill, Great report. I like your setup.
  14. Yep!!! What Adam said. I would fish the Bay City Linwood area. You may want to let things settle a bit after this blow. Matt, A warm welcome to the GLF site. I fish mostly out of AuGres because it's my closest port. Let us know if you need any help.
  15. Brom, 5 for 5 on the shakedown is a good show. A flat tire and a problem with the Depth Raider isn't all that bad. The rest of the year will be smooth sailing.
  16. Nick, GJ in less than ideal conditions.
  17. Jason, Thanks for the Titt report. That storm front probably had something to do with it. GJ in tough conditions.
  18. I have put lures in the oven @ 125 degrees. Not any hotter than sunlight on a black surface.
  19. Bob, Thanks for the report from the East side of this great state. GJ on the Lakers. GL at the Joe.
  20. I wouldn't launch anything bigger than a 16 ft outboard @ Pinconning. We could use a few more decent launches on the Sunrise side of the bay. Bay City Saginaw River DNR, Linwood the old Hoyles, Standish former Great Lakes Marina, AuGres DNR, Tawas DNR. are pretty much your options on this side. There is a quite a distance between some of these. Another way that I use to judge launches is to look in the parking lot. If all you see is small trailers chances are it will not handle the larger boats. You may also get some advice from other launching there.
  21. Gj on the walleye. On the Seat pedestal I would use a thin coating of silicon grease.
  22. Jim, Sounds like your making leaps and bounds. I'm glad things are coming together for ya.
  23. It's good to have a rod builder onboard and the expertise that comes with him.
  24. I'm glad you are back on the water. Go get em man. Thanks for the report.
