  6. Way behind - First trip of the season today - solo 6:30 to 9:30am. Set up in 100 fow off Bill-Mar. Trolled SW to 150 fow had a double a 12# King on 225 copper - jäger bomb And a 9# King on rigger 60 down with a 8" Big Wienie & Mirage fly. 9# King headed right to the 225 copper & tangled in the board, switched between rods and somehow got the board and copper to the boat and did the hand over hand with both rods 8 times to untangle. Landed both Kings after 30 minutes of chaos !! Forgot how much fun and what a zoo it is by yourself. Made it to 165 fow about half way to Port Sheldon and picked up Real nice 14# King on 150 cooper with a Blue and silver Imposter spoon. Stayed in the 165/170 fow lost 2 more fish on rigger 60 down same Big Wienie and fly and the other was 225 copper with Jäger bomb. Good time but drive you crazy with only 3 rods in the water !!

Fun morning in the shallow water. Anyone know how the boats that went deep did today ??

  9. Grand Haven 9/1/14 with Son in Law. Checked temp in 100 fow off Bil Mar - break at 85. Had 6 lines set at 6:40 am and pulled at 9:45 am. Ended up 8 for 9, 3 Coho and 5 Kings, biggest King 16#. Best depth was 95 to 115 fow between pier heads and Bil Mar. Riggers took 5 fish, 75 & 85 down on Moonshine Flounder Pounder spoons. 300 Copper took 1 fish, yellow splatterback J-Plug. Wire Dipsy took 2 fish, 150 back set on 2, Green Spin Doctor & fly. Great action , 1 triple, a couple screamers then died after 8 am. Like kicked up around 9:30, beats Sunday 3 for 3 in the fog.
  10. Congrats on the win great to see !!!!
  11. Wow what an great opportunity !! Only problem is that job of mine gets in the way!! I'm sure you will find a partner - enjoy reading your reports - some great catches.
  12. I have been dreaming about the Hewescraft ever since I laid my eyes on one at the Cabelas in Hammond a couple years ago !! The 20 ft hard top is an awesome boat if I had an extra $40,000 it is what I would own.
  13. We have been using the main release for 4-5 years and the stackers for 2 years they work great !!!
  14. Have a friend with a 90 Etec and he really likes the performance and fuel mileage he is getting also. I went from a 50hp 2 stroke to a 60hp 4 stroke - was using 10 to 12 gallons plus oil on a 30 mile trip with the 2 stroke and now have 3 three gallon tanks and only use one of them per trip now !! $40 plus per trip to $12-15 now and now no smoke & it's quiet.
  15. TX-44 boards for 300 & 450 copper work great.
  16. Running all TX-44 boards now pull great even with 75 up to 600 copper.
