I thought it was my imagination
but this keep happening
We spend hours talking to people about boat the options the trade offs
the cost of not spending the money for a big enough motor to start with
the cost of needing a kicker and related weight issues
on and on and on
Then we see someone at a show that say I bought a boat on line
They told me we did not need a 150 on the boat rated for 175
we saved 4000 dollars with a 115
geese!!! do people NEED to be Lied to. For a guy to sell them a boat these days??
help me with this please!

These are not ment to replace the more cost effective std coolers
There are a competitor to the higher priced ( on average 100 bucks ) coolers made in china
Who says usa can not make a same or better quality product rite here in the USA and cost is less than the asian made comparable
-
finally some one here in the good old usa coppied a asian idea made it better rite here in TEXAS
these coolers are sweet
bad ass hinge you will not be breaking this hinge and the lid goes past 90%and detents
nice replacable seal on the lid and a lock pocket that will take a std lock dont have to bu one of those long shank $$$ locks
not one big drain two on the larger models
cushion and tie down kits availabe nice big handles can easily accomodae two guys on each side othe cooler to carry a full box

With all the talk and all the information on the internet these days
a great resource for ACCURATE UP TO DATE information is available here
FREE
from the
national marine electronics association
I don’t think any one purposely post information that’s is incorrect or obsolete
but there is a lot out there especially when it comes to marine auto pilots and radar systems it is real tough to keep up with this stuff
-
Thanks for all the reply's guys i think its tough to justify the cost of these until you see them in action
They will eventually have models with less features and cost including manuals with possibly a gear box or some sort of mech advantage to hoist more than a 10lb ball
killerbe was 100% correct was not intended for every one
Some of The rigger competition does sell a lot of riggers made outside this country for a lot more money and less features and they use a lot of plastic in their construction
traxs tech bought out vector they where the std for charter boats for years
they made some huge improvements to hoist a much heavier ball at the same or faster speed added some features to improve longevity of all the components including a much better motor and frame
all this and made in the usa
i might not have 4 on my boat but i will have 2
-
introductory price has come and gone
price now 1350.00
with WHAT THIS RIGGER DOES AND ALL HEAVY METAL CONSTRUCTION
compared to other digitally controlled this price seem to be about 30% less than any thing with comparable features and function
made in the usa and no plastic
this price will not last forever they will eventually go up even more

after installing hyd helm and slave cylinder in back with twins we often just remove the power steering completely if its one eng we just leave it on because its less labor
the 2.1L pump and above you dont need the power steering
but this will increase you steering effort when not using the auto pilot
not bad though !
this eliminates the trolling on one motor all the time
and on the 888 mercruiser will actually be a lot easier to steer
after you have a good auto pilot you will be amazed how little you will use the steering wheel to steer you boat
it will steer the boat better than we can and you will seldom use the steering wheel on open water docking and in the marina
-
pen yan was a quality built fishing boat
my father in law had one we we literally wore out two motors in it trolling
it was a late 70s vintage
the tunnel drive was a bitch to steer in close quarters with a little wind
you had to push some water over the rudder to anything but straight and people where always yelling at you for driving to fast in nowake zones but it was the only way you could steer it
they did not make that many stern drive models the couple i have seen where all older ones and they had problems with the transoms they where not as heavy as they should of been for a stern drive application and then when they cut the hole in for the drive they did not reglass the exposed wood core this ended up letting water into the transom board and rotting
make sure you check around the out drive for soft transom
other than that these where great boat for fishing lake michigan i spent lots of fun hours of a couple different friends boats that had them

Traxstech's elite series downrigger intro sale price is over. The new price on the complete kit with swivel and dual aluminum adjustable rod holders will now be 1350.00. They are offering some different options this year on rod holders, boom lengths, and swivel bases to help better fit individual customer’s needs and budget . All pre-existing orders are being honored at the intro price. Let me again Thank all the initial customers for their patience, support, and of course their business. The intro. price was an effort to reward faithful, loyal customers for helping get this project up and running.
We know Traxstech's goal is to make and support the very best riggers in the business.
Its a quality product that Makes our Job Rigging salmon fishing boats
easy and fun !

for slow trolling walleye or lakers mechanical steering cables from the helm to the motor are often the limiting factor
all auto pilots have limitations but any thing using a cable struggles at less than 3mph
i would recomend converting to hyd steering and your options greatly increase as far as a good selection of brands and models that will perform well in most conditions
my favorit set up is a Garmin ghp-10 with a 2.1L pump
garmin tr1 for kickers
The most inportsnt part of a auto pilot install is the calibration and tunning that needs to be done on the water after the install it needs to be done and it need to be done RITE then and only then are auto pilot owners extreemy happy with there investment

If your a guy that wants to getstarted lake michigan fishing and have never rigged out a boat
what most guys dont realize when they buy a boat is what it cost to get it all set up with the gear needed to make the most out of you time on the water
the 3 fish finders on this boat for example and the arch
this is often where a big part of the value comes in

price good for a couple more weeks that thats it!

The roller head had been completely redesigned to handle the hevier weight camnnon balls the new motors will pull
a minlon bearing had been added to the tip roller
the side plated are redesighned and tru bolted to stop the side plates from spreading with the weight
The new rollers will be offered as a kit to retro fit the old nature vishion riggers
The waiting list has been going up and down mostly up. If you want these new riggers for nest summer better order now
orders are filled by the day and time stamp on our on line store

No one likes to wait for a product like this But at least so far I don’t know of any one that has had these long enough to use them a while that won’t say "THEY WHERE WELL WORTH THE WAIT"

And a BIG thank you to the people that have been so patient waiting for their orders

first thanks for every one for their comments AND TACKING THE TIME TO POST
every boat is different and and every person buying a boat is just as unique
make no mistake we will put any thing on any boat a persons wants and if its all they can afford by all means we will put the less expensive item on or in
I guess my problem i feel a moral responsibility to lay out the pro and conns of each scenario
and its certainly a lot easier for me to just be honest
There are more misconceptions out there about boats and boat business than most people can even imagine the list goes on and on
#1 The guy just want to sell the bigger or better Motor or stuff to make more money
This is Just not the case, We will make way more if we sell him a smaller motor and later have to upgrade, This cost thousands more than buying the bigger motor in the first place double labor and make a few bucks off the trade in
#2 Business owners are rich they can take off of work any time they want
Any one out there ever own their own business? that can say how true or false the above statement might be ?
thanks again for all the comments it think we will try to do w better job explaining all peoples options
and let the chips fall where they may
like the commercial says
"ONLY A HONDA IS A HONDA"
AND
"IT NOT JUST A HEWES CRAFT IT IS A CALUMET MARINE RIGGED HEWES CRAFT "
