After waiting 3 years to get into this show
there must be a secret hand shake that i obviously don't know what it is
I had about gave up on getting in then they called last minute they had a cancellation
so here we are
I am sure if this works out and we get a few visitors we will be back next year and get to plan it a little better
Hewes craft is even sending a Rep from the factory fri and sat.
We have at the show
the all new for this year 20' proV hard top that i think would be a ideal boat for the St Joe or any other one of the great rivers in michigan
a 16' sportsman that is also a amazingly affordable boat
as well as the big stuff like the world cat and the 26' pacific cruiser
please stop by and introduce yourself
NO SPECIAL HANDSHAKE REQUIRED !
-
just about all set up ready to go
SHOW starts monday
-
For all you michigan guys we will have
3 or 4 hewes craft boats at the berrien county youth fair this month
there is a lot of good stuff to check out at this fair
give us a call or stop by and see these hard core fishing machines
-
WHILE SUPPLY LASTS!
when it s gon no more till next year
at current rate we will not have a stash in the freezer like years past
-
These are bolted to a big auger screw that in the ground at each post
these building are portable can be taken down if some one decides to move and you can take the building with you
its hard to understand how all this works until you see how fast this design goes up
great example of AMERICAN INGENUITY
-
These can go up all over the state of Michigan Indiana Illinois Wisconsin ohio some parts of new york
we get you the quote 10% down and we send the crew out its up in a day
ground has to be level and if you want stone down it need to be done before the building goes up
yes these can be on concrete but then its a taxable building
electrical can be added as a option
We have some model buildings up at the Eau Claire location for those who would like to see what the construction looks like
There is still time to get yours up this year before the snow flys
-
seriously guys
these metal boat garages are the nuts !
they are bolted to the ground dont require and footings and you can put them on crushed stone
and in most cases dont add any tax burden to your property
prices are 1/5 of a pole barn kind of set up can be fully enclosed and locked up
-
Orders for riggers are being filled in the order they where placed by the date and time stamp on the on line store
The list is getting longer not shorter , Traxs tech has a quality product that has been exceeding its expectations. They are having a tough time keeping up with the demand
"well worth the wait" is the most common comment we get after the guys have a chance to use them.
what else to sell you?
how about a custom built car port for the boat ?
we can have you boat garage up before the sno flies
at a price thats hard to beat
we support this web site with our best efforts and advertizing dollars
please forgive the sales pitches we dont just sell stuff we fish/use with the stuff we sell.
Its a resource we like to share with like minded fisherman
-
Is it worth .5 hour labor to have some one spool those big reels witht the copper or leads ?
For those that have done it before it takes some time and can be a pain in the rear
but with the rite equipment we can get it down to about .5 in most cases
-
We try to keep the sport affordable
There is no real big huge winner when it comes to bait size shape or flavor
its more about the presentation and matching the rite components together i try to keep a variety of baits so the guy that knows how to run a size or variety can buy his favorite and run it with good results
we always have had a good variety of baits available in the store shipping frozen is a new challenge we decided to give a good try
the salt packed stuff was easy it din not have to stay frozen or even cool
the new guys we try to just make sure what ever they buy they have a good beginners understanding how to best use it to catch fish
there is a huge learning curve to running meat rigs and cut baits that can be easily compressed with a little education whole has to stay frozen until its used or put in brine
its just not cost effective to ship small amounts of frozen the shipping will be more than the bait that's why set this system up the way we did
its also very important that the ship to address has some one waiting for the bait and knows to put it in the freezer rite away It will seldom show up exactly when we expect it Shipping it can be a logistics night mare shipping this stuff we tried to set this up to eliminate the potential mishaps 1/2 case or 20 trays seemed like the most reasonable balancing point to keep the cost down and keep the FUN affordable
-
20 trays= 1/2 case shipped to your door 159.00
over the counter in store 6.95 per tray plus tax
we do not sell case quantities from store we have a logistics company holding the herring for us they pack the half case have dry ice and syrofoam coolers on hand and ship two day we only ship first part of week and person receiving the shipment is responsible to make sure it gets put in a freezer after delivery
got bait questions give us a call

was not a big harvest this year in the red size slot
not sure how long the red will last
herring is not whats the best size or shape or cut it more about what you can get and how to make it work
sure has been a great year of fishing so far ! fill the box

I LIKE IT!
I THINK THIS IS A MUCH BETTER THEN REDUCING THE PLANTING RATES
and having the salmon stamp proceeds go to fund other goverment pay raises
I think its just a great thing get out there and enjoy it
we went out recently with 6 guys in the boat with lots of cold drinks lunch
planned on staying out all day and tacking 30 fish home
after a few hours we had to stop @ 18 because we could not shut the 150 Q cooler lid
this is not good its frigging GREAT
-
we do sell the whole in small quantities
over the counter only
the only way we ship is half case or larger
just unloaded some more fresh yesterday and its going fast the meat bite is hot now at least down here on the south end
we have some nice videos on out web site for guy that want to get started using herring and herring products
how to brine the bait
how to clip and fillet the bait to fit the bait heads
what the perfect role should look like
check out the calumet marine web site in the forums section under bait shop fishing reports
just a few days ago these where swimming in the gulf of mexico off of gaisnsville florida
-
If any of you michigan guys want to come down here and fish we have a deal with a local hotel (nice hotel) for discount rates
although i can not go out and fish with you i certainly will point you in the rite direction or tell you when its not worth the trip
all i ask is you post reports to help the next guy and when i come up you way would hope you do the same
fill the box !!
-

i know i seen a bunch of these coolers with brakets to the floor and a cushion top just wondering if any one knows what one is decent some seem flimsy to me i want to sit some big guys on it like myself with out fear of breaking it
I am rigging this 20' hard top, i special ordered it with out pasanger seat to install one or maybe to of these seat/coolers
the boat dont have room for seats and colers so this seems to make sense
what do you think of my idea? any one have a cooler recomendation ?
Thanks Frank

These have the integrated tank on motor
frank
Frank, Do those have an integrated fuel tank, or is it a remote tank? -
new in box honda 2hp motors
850.00
these are 4 stroke 27lbs so they are ups shipable
great for a dingy harbor patrol or drift boats
while supply lasts
-
sale ends 5th of july or when supply runs out
-
Nice looking boats. Is the ProV a 8' or 8 1/2' foot beam?
94" beam
price on the boat alone with shipping to Chicago
under 25,000.00
The final price depends on motor trailer equipment options
so the boat is not the expensive part, For best results i would not put too small a motor on this
We like the aluminum I beam trailers it drastically reduces the towing weight
the boat alone is under 2000, lbs
Three things people say about these boat when they first see them
#1 "wow this is built like a tank"
#2 " Its hard to believe this is only a 20' boat its got more room in side than my BLANK"
#3 "it only weighs how much ? that cant be rite let me see that spec sheet"
stop by and have a look
lets see what YOU have to say about these
you Michigan guys get a couple friends together to come to the eau claire location i can hall it up there for you guys to check out
just let me know ahead of time
Frank

In most cases they dont make 20' hard tops let alone big enough to fish 4 adults
but what do you think about this one ?
how would you think it should be laid out with out spending a ton of money ?
take a look at the pictures before you say
"NOT POSSIBLE"
is what i have heard
Well here we go this is our project boat
20' Hewes Craft proV hard top
We are thinking two coolers with cushin lids for behind the front two seats
one single 150 Honda with NMEA to a 740s Garmin
traxs tech system
some new vector riggers
aluminum I beam trailer
what do you think?
