  1. Welcome Adam, Thats a fair ride out to 225. Last time we were out that far didn't get anything after 175. we do most of our fishing east and northeast of the north gap. 50-175. Glad to have another brew city guy here. I fish out of a 17ft Tracker, 2 to 3 times a week . starting as soon as the Ice clears the piers. The one thing thats nice to fishing deep , staying away from all the dumping from MMSD. Boat is Woof-n-Fish. Not tagged yet but should be by Spring next year. Look me up next year , I'll fish with you or you can fish with us. Tight Lines Jim
  2. Thanks Guys, copper is whats it going to be for now. Hope to be back to normal before the new season starts. Have surgery in the morning , I thought I was going to be out for 12-16 weeks . But it could be 4-6 months. Good Luck fishing . Tight Lines Jim
  3. Ok if I go copper do I have to have a Twilli tip? or just for wire?
  4. I Have 6 lead core setups and will be adding 2 more 3,5,7,10 color. have 4 dipsey rods but normally don't run them too often. also setup with 4 downriggers .Divers I have now are power pro .
  5. What are the different applications for wire and copper? Is it really nessary to have a twillie tip , or rollers? I am waiting to purchase 2 rods ready to go but I am undecided which I should go with. I was thinking about running dipsy with the wire . Comments?
  6. looks like the damage to the smallie might be from a lampray. Nice fish
  7. Very nicely Done! a lot of battle scars on that first fish.
  8. Thats Awesome , Does she go with you a lot? Get em hooked young.
  9. I don't think that we are at a disadvantage here in Milwaukee, I'm not a big fan of lake trout anyway. Kings and Coho are a different story. Having Kings , Coho, Browns, and Rainbows, this is my first year, and all I can say is WOW!!. You can start in the spring for browns ,and as it warms up the Coho and Kings show up. When the four year olds are staging you can go out deep for 3 year olds and Rainbows. I am so impressed with the fisheries of the great lakes, I my never fish inland again. Also those are some impressive fish. Nice Job guys.
  10. Hey Jimmy, is there a chart for the JP slammers. Its hard to remember the names with out cheating. Nice job by the way.

Now if I could only get the mileage that the sticker said , I would have a lot more money to buy fishing gear. 2007 F150 Supercrew 5.4L with the long box (6.5ft) Averages 15-16 mpg in the warm weather. when cold 13.5mpg. Mike If it has a heater plug it in at night , it will help the mileage . Less time to warm up.
  14. nice box of fish Josh, we weren't out quite as deep as you but having no boat traffic to deal with was great. what kind of line are you using? the blue stuff in the picture.
  15. nice catch , looks like your girls had a good time too.
  16. looked like some nice fish, always nice to get out , even better when its a bonus weekend with warm weather.
  17. What was the speed at the ball , were you running in a heavy current?

  19. One of the nicest days in a few weeks , and I got to go fishing with my son ! Left the crowds and headed out to deeper water . Marked plenty of fish just not a lot of takers. Fished for 5-6 hours and really put the new kicker through a good test , purrs like a kitten and has plenty of power. First 2 fish came on lead cores , 7 color 2.1 mph 140 fow. last one came on a rigger parked at 130 in 145fow.Fish hit as it was going through a bait pod , real nice 3 year old king. All fish were nice and silver. Even had a bird stop in for a quick rest today. Tight Lines Jim
  20. Awesome job there, we always run a blue dolphin in our spread , one of our go to lures.
  21. Well I'm a soft water person, when the water gets hard I do things at home that I put off in the summer. Like woodworking. But not this winter . I will not be doing anything this winter, be having surgery at the end of the month , some bad discs in my neck . I will be doing lots of reading and watching videos of fishing thou.
  22. all depends on how bad the trip was , and what happen at work that day,
  23. I would love to try it out on a river I fish once in a while trolling for walleyes, I can get the speed down to .5 . So no longer do I have to worry about getting slow enough.
  24. great job, hope i can find them around here like that.
