  4. Way to keep on them Frank!
  5. Nice catch Frank, hope you get some more great trips in before you go under the knife. Wish you a speedy recovery too.
  6. Those are some nice ones!
  7. Hope the boat troubles are all behind you, hope to get back over this weekend if the weather is decent. I'll give you a shout out there.
  8. Here are some pics, the small one in the corner is 15 inches, most were some nice ones. Matt, thought I had to get you a bag of fillets for those offshore board pins;) I'm working on it, going to hit Erie a couple more weekends, the wife said she wants walleyes and gotta agree, they eat way too good. Aaron, had a buddy we called out to our spot, gave him the numbers and hot spoons and all they got was a dozen sheephead, might have been getting the speed and depth of lures dialed in. We ran 1.8 to 2.1mph. Got a little faster for while and everything went dead, then slowed down and starting hitting again.
  9. We had a good day yesterday for our first trip to Erie this year. We started at 6:30AM and pulled lines at 10:30 with our limit of 18. Lot's of nice sized fish in the catch. Got all trolling spoons behind diver disks off boards and off riggers and regular divers. Started out with leads to the diver disks at 75 and 90 ft. The 75 ft leads died after the sun got higher so we dropped them back to 100ft and started catching again. Ran the regular divers out 45 ft, no ring on 3 and the riggers just off the bottom in 25-26 ft of water. We were in front of the Edison plant on the Ohio/MI line. Best spoon colors were various purples with copper backs, steaks and stinger scorpions. We started in Mi but when the pack of boats formed, we moved into Ohio to stay out of it. Good luck!
  10. Nice catch!
  11. Fishing is supposed to be fun, it's no fun when waves get to the 4 ft range or bigger.
  12. Always a good trip when everyone on boards gets one.
  13. We fished in a fishing and BBQ event at St Joe this Sat. We started in 120 ft of water a couple of miles north, trolled out to 195 and then worked 130 to 160 ft of water and ended up 7 for 11. A blue bubble spin doctor on a wire mag low diver out 170 took 4 rips. The other low diver went once out 180 ft. with a green dolphin spin doctor and pickled sunshine fly. A DW met. frog went twice on full cores. A blue dolphin spin doctor went twice on a rigger down 45. Justin got the biggest fish of the event on our boat and won the big fish pot with this nice king. Half cores went with a super slim fireball and DW lemon ice. The BBQ guys cooked up some fine food and we ate good all weekend. This was one of about 10 smokers that were always loaded. Here are some slabs of rib underway. The food was awesome and fishing good for this annual event.
  14. Nice job, what a great way to get some kids exposed to fishing who otherwise wouldn't get the chance.
  15. Thanks for the report and good luck with the kids!
  16. Nice catch with some kings in the box! Shallow water and flat seas can be tough sometimes.
  17. Way to fill the box, nice job!
  18. Erik, Hope it's your gall bladder and you can get better quick and get out of the hospital.
  19. I didn't have my scale and we didn't weight it. I'm thinking it was around 19 lbs, mayby a chance it could have hit 20.
  20. Rigel just got home from his first year at college. He has been fishing with me since he was real young. Here's a pic from a few years back at Ludington.
  21. I love my wife, she gave me the green light to go fishing today. We went to St Joe and had a great day on my buddies boat. Started in 45 ft of water a mile north and went north. Slid out to 50 ft of water as we went. Rigel got it started with a nice king at sunrise. We got a couple lake trout and then 2 more kings in the next hour and it died in there. Hit the fish on silver streak blue dolphins on riggers at 35 and 40 ft. A tin can dodger and blue bubble fly took a laker on the other rigger at 45. Had about an hour dry spell, pointed it west and had another hour dry spell. That's when you start to second guess your troll but we stuck with it. When we got out to 78 ft of water, we hit a double and then 2 singles by the time we got to 85 ft of water. All nice kings. Green dolphins on a 10 and 7 color core were good out deeper. We were in the 11's north. Went dry as we trolled out to 95 ft, turned around and went back to 80 ft of water and Rigel got another nice one. Green glow mag DW on a full core. Worked back in to 75 ft. and got a douple with a king and steelie, both hit on green dolphins again, had one on a wire low diver out 135ft and it went twice out there. Turned back out and worked that area over, Rigel got a nice tuna at 12:30 and we ended the day 12 for 17 at 1:00PM. Here the catch. Good luck if you can get out in the next few days!
