  1. Yeah that was was my first time seeing a launching of a boat too.
  2. They keep talking Rain but as of the last week we have been sprinkled on. 44 degrees is all I want or I may just abandon the river for the rst of the year.
  3. Yes I was beaten down with another skunk on teh detroit river. I had a chance to hook up with TGAfish and try some mid river spots for 4 hours. not a hit and I have to admit the lack of marking fish is very unusal. Tried from Us steel to great lakes steel. Only heard of 1 fish at the launch all day. water temp was from 36.6- 38.4(USS) Hopefully the will show up soon, we need some rain to change the temps and get them moving. Steve
  4. I will be down to fish sat AM and sun AM I'll give you a shout. We will be on the blade runner on 72 for the brown blast. I give you a shout on 68 to see how you guy are doing.

  7. They have been pretty consistant. and All males so far. I can't wait to hit the Saginaw bay in may this year And see what size we are getting out there this yaer. All last spring we were getting 1-3 lbs males and 5-8lbs females that we were releasing most of. On the Detroit river.
  8. Well we went out to the lake instead of the river that has been really slow for me. We ended up with 6 4lbs'ers. All on blade baits in 15' of watere about 3 miles east on the Ohio line. We saw a lot of boats up in Maumee Bay but I didn't have the jigs to go in there. Best color was orange clown then red tiger. Steve

  10. We had a little mishap today my boy dropped one of our DR's and broke the display. If some one has an old one around that has a burnt motor and the display is good I would be interested. Thanks steve

Hopefully the ice will be gone. Does your brothers boat have a radio and handle. 13. Ihave a Hbird 587 combo that pics up the thermo on the switch fire mode. I payed 450 for the combo unit but have seen the 500 series graph only for $350 or less on sale. So far it has worked better than expected for a cheaper unit. Steve

  15. See if my computer skills suck or not this our walleye rig the bladerunner. when we first got her before the traxs and the auto pilot
  16. Yes It was all tuned up and they rebuilt the water pump. I was told I wouldn't be getting it back till the end of next week from the marina after running the lower unit dry last year. I guess thats one advantage to lower HP engines. It turned out that All the gears were still in good shape so I only had to replace the prop shaft seal. When they called yesterday I took off work early to go get it and spent the night getting everything ready. my oldest boy was waking me up at 430 wanting to leave for the ramp. I am going to give it another try mid week with a couple guys from work. More reports soon Steve
  17. Well I had my shake down on the detroit river today for about 2.5 hrs. Before seeing a massive i jam around the Bridge waitingf to break loose. We were 0 for 3 with the air temp 13 degrees and the water at 38. All hit were in 20' of water on 3/4oz jigs w/o stingers and 4'' gulp alive smelt. I think Ill be waiting for some warmer weather before getting out again. At least 40 degrees for a high will be nice Lots of ice bergs in the river so be carfull I saw a lot of clear ice that will tack a lower unit out at high speed. Steve
  18. Glas to hear that they are taking care of it. Always easier once the insurance is settled. Good luck next time out
  19. I will be bring my Donzi to advantage in Zeeland end of next week. I just had to take my lund in for a bad propshaft seal. They think I ran it dry last yuear on my last outing in Huron Oh. They will be starting on it this week and a week or so for the parts. SO now I am down 2 boats. I don't plan on using the Doinzi till the WMFl so I am nort in that big a rush. But the walleye will be here next week or 2 and I fish them 3-4 times a week Thanks for the referals
