  1. Nice job - if your 300 copper is 32# it is running 60 feet down, if it is 45# should be running in the 70-75 range. full core should run 50 foot. so running a full core outside of 300 copper you should be ok, but you might have to deal with a tangle from time to time.
  2. Had a full crew today - Dan (diesel), Aaron (Line Dancin'), and my buddy Alex. day started great - crank handle missing off trailer wench. still launched the boat had lines in water around 7. started almost straight out of peir in 60 fow, working our way in and out of 85 - 110 most of the day, North troll, made the turn around the net in just out of Whitehall pulled lines around 1pm just off Duck lake in 75 fow. All King box - 13 for 19 or 20. cooler was full - only room for a couple more. 300 coppers were the hot ticket today. both running a ladder back green and white spoon, one was a moonshine the other was a Great Lakes Lures.(lost due to split ring) the fish were mean, two bent hooks and one hook broke off a barb. smallest was 10lbs, biggest was in the 17-18lbs range. sorry no pic's (so you can if you wish call me a liar:D) would have stayed longer but it was hot and the flies were really bad. Big thanks to Jeff at Great Lakes Marina for taking me out back to borrow a wench crank to get the boat back on the trailer.

  11. Good Job, the steelhead were right there in the Morning. It's kind of funny how just 2-3 weeks ago you couldn't find a steelhead, now we get at least 2-3 per trip. just one of my favorite fish to fight.
  12. let's hope that the crazy bite is still on come Saturday, should be looking at some really impressive boxes...
  13. Drop to a 17, you will loose 2-4 mph on top end, but you will jump out of the hole quicker and should slow you down a bit. The marina I use to stay in would let me try a couple used props before I bought my 17" SS.
