  1. Wont have to know where Josh is setting up in the morning. lol Great lights
  2. Nice deer camp Ed. Now its time to kill some fish.
  3. As soon as we hook up on a fish with a TX 44 we had another bag or slow it down, seems to help the hook up. We try not to stress the rod when the board is in the water and get the board asap and will speed it up when the board is off.
  4. Yea I played around with with this a few years ago. I still keep up to 8 colors on the boat, so i still do run lead. When i was doing it i had it on a 450 caught some fish, didnt think it was a major factor. I took it off because i didnt like changing a 450 with a 3 color on it.
  5. The 22s were made for slow trolling, I ran them side by side. Walleye boards seem to pull better with heavier lines and faster trolling speeds.
  6. I am all for it, just very curious how they are going to enforce the whole state to do it.
  7. The last few years were are finally seeing the bucks that stay around all year, putting our own version of QDMA in to action here in middle Michigan. Passing lots of small bucks, keeping them around really is playing into the results. Season started out with a nice youth hunt buck My uncle took 3.5 year old 8 point the 4 week of bow season(first one seen in a few years) I finally got my but in gear after passing lots of small bucks and fill a tag the 11/19pm Not to be outdone with next night by my grandpa, very nice 3.5 year old. Great season, good luck
  8. I would go 800, put more backing on=better gear ratio vs the 700. We have 800 all the way down to 8 colors and 225 coppers
  9. Yea and orange and black squiggles thin fin on clean mono board
  10. Most bigger boats are running 3, I personally don't see a reason for anymore then 3. Depending on your crew size, if its 6-9 rods, i would keep 2 on there.
  11. Yacht Basin..is always nice the few times I have been out of it.
  12. Once ya go in slip ya never wanna go back
  13. Fish the warmest water you can find In spring time. Start in the mud, then go down and fish 8-20ft. 40degree is what I look for when starting in the spring. Natural colors and oranges with spoons and body baits.i like 12 pound fluorocarbon
  14. A good friend of mine is in the creel, there were numbers like 80% of the mature fish are 3 years old, that's not counting the fish that mature at 2 years old.
  15. It was weird when we didn't have one close to 20 or over. I would probably say 60-70fish. I also did fish 135 charters though.
  16. Start in a 120ft head west 10 boards 2 divers 3 riggers, top 50. All spoons smaller spoons with usually a variation of orange , no flashers and go fast. 3.0-4.5 SOG
  17. After reading your blog and all your fun travels, i am very jealous, you guys have a very sweet ride and looks like you get to use it a lot. After fishing 120+ charters this year sometime a boat ride would be nice.
  18. 33 pounds....not 41...little lie. Boats from our dock
