  5. Finally had the chance to put the new net Holder from Net-Mate Systems to the test this past weekend. The first photo below is of my set up before the Net-Mate was tested, which made this product even sweeter, and consisted of the great lakes planer system which has a larger dedicated rocket launcher for the net. This was very troublesome to reach through and around everything at times in rough conditions with the canvas on, multiple rods running from the side trees and the planer line that runs off the top of the side tree and the release clip for the net would always come loose from the boat banging around and the net would get caught on everything it could possibly catch while trying to get it out. One more thing i really liked in comparison to my old set up was that during hauling we didn't have to take the net out of the launcher and lay it on the floor, it stays in place. We ran this weekend in 5-7 footers and the net never moved. We had zero problems retrieving the net through all the gear as it just lays to the side of the W/A and the release clip was always where it was supposed to be. In my opinion this is a great little product that is very inexpensive in the grand scheme of big lake fishing. I assume alot of guys may try to fab something similar themselves to save themselves some money being that it is a very simple product, but lets face it guys.....you can't put a price on your limited time on the water. This is definitely a product i will stand behind!
  6. Could you please post a pic without that dreadfull white stuff in the background!!
  7. allRIGHT!!! way to go! That got the blood pumping a little i bet!!
  8. That is awesome Mike! Must be a pretty damn good feeling to see him getting so involved:grin:
  9. Awesome day on the lake Mike!! Congrats to the little man as well!!
  10. Knock out weekend guys....way to go!! A report like that really gets the blood flowing. As far as the copper goes are you guys using 30 or 45# copper on the 500, 600 and 700?? And the next question....what type of reels are you running with those combos? Sounds like you should put your crew on a weight program to be ready for the arm pump that goes along with a screamer on copper!!
  11. Mike I may be mistaken, but i thought i remember terry speaking about working on more testing and a depth chart out for the dive bombs during the team meeting.
  12. Gun Nice work! The wiggle colors been good this year?? Only have the blue and haven't had much action on it yet, but haven't had it out much either
  13. I run my stinger dive bombs on my 300 45# copper at times when the fish seem to be deeper. Mike (GLF) has done some testing on these with lead core and i just followed his findings to guess where i am at with the copper, but would like to find the time later this summer to do a little testing with the copper to be sure. Some of the Lake Ontario stinger guys were supposed to be doing some more comprehensive testing on these dive bombs but i am not sure this has happened yet...GLF any ideas??
  14. Doug Sounds good to me. Only difference in my set up is i don't have mono between my backer and copper and have not seen a problem with my pads yet . What weight copper are you using?
  15. Welcome aboard mike....a lot of helpful friendly guys here!!!
  16. We fished a derby this weekend out of the same boat. The hard top was very nice with the winds. Only problem is that i am 6'1 and was not used to the boat and have a knot on my eye and a couple on my head from the hardtop. We also used most of my gear on the boat and my leads were to long for this boat being that there is so much hard top on this boat. A longer net would have helped as well....just something to think about. I think this boat can be a very effective weapon with the proper rigging. Nice find guys!!!
  17. Nice fish Phil!! we had a 19.8 this weekend as well and that thing pulled like a 25 lb'er:D
  18. Nice work Jim....must have gotten your tourney fee back at least hey? The TT's that i have fished have been run very well. Chances are you will get your money back in cash or prizes.
