Priority1
We had a few stumbling blocks today, but us old slugs can still gitter done. We were heading S. on US 23 when we had a flat tire on the boat trailer, just N. of AuGres on the 4 lane section. Well 1/2 hr later we changed out the tire and started for the launch. We're finally on our way to fish. About 2 or 3 miles from the River Mouth cans, a boater is waving us over. It was his first trip in a new to him boat, and he lost power. He did have a small electric trolling motor. We pulled him up the AuGres River, and cut him loose in front of the docks. He did offer to pay for our fuel, but I declined, telling him to help someone else when required. Well the Duke would say, we were "Burning Daylight". Finally we were on our way, to catch some walleye. We lost about an hour towing the disabled boat and the waves had built considerably. We set up in 30+ FOW and the 2 footers turned to 3s. A little over 2 hrs later, we had a 4 man limit of Saginaw Bay walleye. Crawlers and B.B. Some of the rigs I tied for the Stinger Tourney were still in play. Any color seemed to work. Get em while they're HOT.
