Aaron Nusbaum Posted May 29 Posted May 29 First trip of the season, latest start in years thanks to the crappy weather earlier this month. We went everywhere from 80 ft to 170 searching for consistent marks and wound up settling around 140. We ended up 1 for 2* (2 for 3 if you count a skippy). We lost a nice king right behind the boat then landed a 1# coho and brought up a skippy king when we pulled lines. Everything came right around 140 ft. Hopefully it gets better from here. Here's what took the hits: 1-2 Warrior magnum psycho perch on a downrigger 50 ft down 1-1 Dreamweaver green gator on 200 copper Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App 4
Reel-y-hooked Posted May 29 Posted May 29 1st trip of the year, no skunk, flat water and great weather. That is a successful day ! thanks for the report. 4
FBD Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Out now, two coho, zero pattern. 50-140 and back in fish in 75 on a three color fish in 110 50 down…
jdh Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Tried to find fish tonight under the full moon. Graph was blank. Got two 3 or 4 lb kings in 250 fow right at 9:30. Nothing after that. Fished all the way in to 40 fow. 1
Reel-y-hooked Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Port Sheldon. Same here, our graph was bright and clear. We started in 180’ and zig zagged our way in and picked up 1 small king in 150’. pulled lines when we got to 70’. beautiful boat ride 1
FBD Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Marked bait, and hooks on the bottom in 70-50 as it got dark last night, but no more action for us. 3
jdh Posted May 30 Posted May 30 After dark started marking lots of hooks in bottom 20 feet from 220 to 150 fow. A lot more hooks in the 220-180. Wonder what was going on. No way for my boat to get lines that deep. 1
