  1. TYVM for the information. I think I will stay in the tent section. Do you think I will need reservations? Most places fill up with RVs but hardly ever fill the tent section. I am assuming there is adequate parking for trucks and boats, in the tent section.
  2. LOL Dan. A little closer than 24 miles. My 21 yo 22 footer averages 5-1/2 gallons per trip. I don't run a kicker, and use a drift sock to slow down to Walleye speed. Even at that 5.5 gal per trip X $3.20/gal X 5 trips this week = $88 in fuel costs for the boat. The 4 WD PU used to pull it is another story. Doggone Oil Companies.
  3. Saginaw Bay same program. 3 man limit, on 06-15-07. My son and grandson are coming over tomorrow, and we have to do it again. That will make 5 out of the last 7 days fishing. Ya got ta luv it.
  4. WTG Dan. I haven't been out since Tuesday, but will change that tomorrow morning. The last 4 trips = 40 walleye in the box. I have found a spot that has been giving up about 4 or 5 legal size fish to 1 throw back. Before that I was sorting at a ratio of about 1 to 1. I'm still running meat, but may change soon. I have run some Tots, but the meat seemed to light em up better so far. Sunday Eve when I was out we had to coax the fish to hit. What ever we did they seemed to want it different. We would speed up and hit a few and then nothing. We would slow down and hit a couple, and so on. We started steering like a drunken sailor, to speed and slow the boards and that helped. Find out what they want, and give em lots of it.
  5. Looks like we have a MOPAR Man. MOPARs ruled back then.
  6. Yes it is on fire. WTG Dan. We pulled another 2 man limit Sunday Eve. 30+FOW B.B. crawler harnesses 1 to 2.2 MPH. Inline boards and over the side. Going again tomorrow eve. and Tue morning weather permitting.
  7. WTG Phil, Those fish don't have a calendar do they? I can't wait for some Salmon Slamin.
  8. WTG Toxic, It's a sure bet that boy is hooked.
  9. I was wondering about the State Park N. of Muskegon. I'll probably sleep in the cuddy and hit the State park for the 3 Ss. How are the conditions @ this park? In Manistee I sleep in the boat or truck bed, right in the launch parking lot, then use the State Park for a shower etc. Is any of this possible in Muskegon?
  10. I just can't wait for a lil Salmon Slammin.
  11. Bob,I cant wait to see your boat all rigged up. It sure looks fantastic. It looks like it was well taken care off. Mine has a lot of hrs on it, is a little rough around the edges, and is old and slow. I think that's why I bought it. I can use the same description for me.
  12. It's rigged with 4 old Cannon electrics. Here is a pic of my nephew that shows one corner of the boat. Musky Bob's thread is turning into a Starcraft Islander ad. I hope Bob doesn't mind.
  13. DAN, Are you bragging or complaining about those fish numbers. LMAO IMHO, any one who doesn't cheek those walleye should be Jap Slapped.
  14. GJ, I can't hardly wait to tie into some Kings.
  15. GJ Shultzs, Lakers are VG on the grill. I like to marinade my Salmon and Trout in Italian dressing overnight, then grill em.
  16. You guys left me a few. Two of us picked up a limit in 30-32 FOW with crawlers. Color didn't seem to matter. Ran 2 oz BB with the GPS SOG @ 1.5-2.0 MPH. It was a nice morning to be on the water.
  17. I own one and the biggest advantage is fuel economy. I filled mine up today after two fishing trips, and it took 11 gallons. I had about 15-18 miles running and a total of about 8.5 hrs on the water counting the running and trolling. It has a 4 cyl 140 Mercruiser IO, and is a 22 footer. It fishes well, and trailers easy. I can fish with 4 comfortably, 5 not too bad, and 6 if I have to. It handles well in 4-5 foot seas.
  18. Congrats to you and your daughter. It's so nice to see your kids do well. I know you are very proud of her. Your daughter sure is cute. She must get her good looks from her mom. LOL:)
  19. A warm welcome 2 U Rob. Join us in chat Mondays @ 8 PM.
  20. I name a few. I'll bet Dan can figure some of these out. SB 1By, AUGHBR, TWSHBR. Most of my wpts go unnamed, but I know if they are left in the GPS I have hit fish there. I some times put a fish icon on the special ones.
  21. What kind of synthetic oil do you run? I have been running a synthetic blend in my car and truck. I may try synthetic in my boat if I can find a viscosity range of 20W40 or 25W40. Or maybe a straight weight oil would be OK also. Boats don't have to start in below zero temps.
  22. I have the greatest respect for all our troops. I'll keep your son in my prayers.
  23. GJ Dan. Find out what they want, and give em lots of it.
