  1. TYVM It's always GR8 to get Capt. Drew's reports.
  2. Terry, GJ on the fish, but sorry for the lost hardware. Ya gotta pay ta play.
  3. GJ Chris. Thanks for the report. What speed were you trolling?
  4. GJ Mike. Sorry about the lost hardware.
  5. Just another point. The Summers of 08 and 09 were abnormally cool. The bay stayed a lot cooler and we stayed on fish all over the bay the whole Summer. A lot of fish were taken out of the system as a result of this. This Summer is more the norm. The temps in mid to late July warm the waters and the fish seek comfort like you and I do. Everyone seems to judge the bay by the last two abnormal years. Gitter Done May through June and again in the Fall. You can still do well but you have to pay your dues and put your time in. JMHO.
  6. There aren't any walleye left in the bay. Yesterday aboard the Brandy we left the dock @ 9:30 AM and in spite of the late start two of us took 7 eyes that probably weighed more than this 10 fish box. It's not as easy as it was a month ago, but ya can still gitter done.
  7. Bob, GJ teaching Summer School.
  8. Jess, GJ on the Erie Eyes.
  9. I have some small glow beads that are on both sides of my clevises. The glow blades were HOT today. I don't put a lot of beads on my harnesses. I have seen some tied up like a Gypsy necklace. I think the blade brings them in and the meat seals the deal.
  10. The Dog Days of Summer are upon us. The fishing is not as good as it was a month ago but good quantities of walleye are still in the bay. Personally I haven't run a mag tot since the mid 80s. I run some 1/4 oz tots but not very often. Look shallow and deep, and when you find them give them something decent to eat.
  11. Larry aka (Rat City Hooker) and I fished in 19-34 FOW with bouncers and harnesses for a two man limit. Glows were HOT. Speed was 1.5 MPH. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/8/7/saginaw_bay_eyes_7-21-10.jpg' alt='saginaw_bay_eyes_7-21-10.jpg'>
  12. Sorry about the problems Nick. Looking at whole picture it's far better having problems with a trailer than you or one of the crew ending up hurt. Just mo money.
  13. Cool.
  14. Dave, I love the Frankfort area. Way to make it happen even with the minor problems.
  15. Grant, Way to gitter done.
  16. Bill, I love them mixed bags. GJ I like your philosophy. Why gripe about what isn't there? Concentrate on what is there.
  17. They take a beating in and out of murky water. Just replace them.
