  1. I would run a regular diver for your high diver on braid.
  2. This recipe came from the Milwaukee Great Lakes Sport fishermen news letter back in the mid 80's: author unknown to me. 8 oz soft cream cheese 8 oz sour cream 2T chopped onion 2T chopped chives 1T lemon juice 1/2 tsp Lawry's 1/8tsp dry mustard 1t Worcestershire sauce 2 dashes garlic salt 3-4 dashes black pepper mix all together then add 2 Cups flaked smoked fish and gently blend in.:thumb:
  3. That purple and yellow one works well behind a wonder bread flasher after 9 am 50 to 70 fow clear sky tight to the bottom for big kings:thumb:
  4. Photo quality is excellent on 3;cudos to the photographer. I think all the kids should win.
  5. Wishing a Happy ><> Healthy ><> and SAFE ><> New Year to all my Fishy Friends:)
  6. I'll second the Salty ball recommendation, Salty ball weights are awesome.. I know he can be found on another site. pm me for more info.
  7. Would this be it www.goodmans.net
  8. I have a bunch of the cv30d's as well, from 3 color through 6 and on the divers as well. I had one of my TR200's fail so I stuck a 30 on that rigger rod, liked it so much better that I'm switching out all my tr200s to the Okumas as well.
  9. I got the same one as well. My thoughts were "I got too much stuff now" and a fear that the stuff they send might not all be the latest and greatest, more of a shelf cleaning project.
  10. Add in the fun factor and your $$$$$ahead of the game..Awesome catch.
  11. On the deal too good to be true, ask if the plugs have been changed yet? They have a bit of a reputation that wasn't a better idea.Otherwise its a great vehicle.
  12. I'm by no means an expert but value my $$. For what its worth I just got my Garmin in the mail today from Ryan. I was looking at several brands.A couple things swayed the scale in Garmins favor, past experience on friends boats with garmins, the fact that I plan on adding radar,(plug and play/cost), I have the upmost confidence in Ryans working knowledge and also fear of customer no service from a couple competitors if needed.Plus I have a competitors product thats failed and no chance of fixing.
  13. One hint is don't let them get dull. I use a steel after every cleaning session and sometimes halfway through a heavy cooler. Never have the need for a sharpner as the steel keeps it razor sharp.( I realize the steel is a finishing sharpner of sort.)
  14. I would give the thumbs up to Sheboygan with excellent marina facilities and walking to shops as well.Plus the catching is very good both times of your travel.
  15. ? on Garmin 740s..are these new or new refirbs from factory?

How much for a great lake chart and good transducer?

Do you think a person will be able to add radar in a year or two? Fear of discontinued or product change/not compatible. ( I know that last ? is pretty loaded but I trust your opinion)

    Thanks Ryan.

  16. try here http://boats.oodle.com/j_srxx_/3222560774-22339u448,28/boats.oodle.com___yuaZyJhd50V4Y0QQhALUVVb2kvnU9rYETZqpj2j2oogy96gc-GEbPz5_5Wg95hETVjWIwTssQZYx8MQt3dY6FH-0qN0pbdA1DKDNVjWon4Dd_ulvdAdYOE6uTu2yXiJuZZeakkGLT3I_GbZHtM2KaDizfVcjvJTTS6tI7ZmXR9kmOuV8SG5xnQ,,
  17. I lay them in the cooler and snip the gills with a scissors.
  18. The one in the middle/bottom pic gets my vote. I would buy a couple .
  19. I'll second Ryan on the Torpedo swivels. Bought a sample pack at a vendor show this spring and liked them so much I have since bought enough to switch to them exclusive.
  20. I have rip cord dypsy set ups. What I did this spring was run 1 dypsy and 1 diver to see which one was going to work best. Out of 40 trips I only pulled the torpedo twice. One trip the torpedo diver took are only hits:confused:. I have snap swivel on the rip cord side and a clear snubber on the lure side of the dypsy. When I run the torpedo I just remove the dypsy and attach the snubber to the snap swivel using the same leader/snap that I had behind the dypsy. Let out 30' of line and attach the torpedo diver with a pinned rubber pad clip.( I use one similar to a red offshore or18 I believe). I had better success with the musky size, why exactly I don't know for sure..More then likely it was where the lure was positioned in my spread as the musky size dives slower then the cuda.
  21. I would spend it on torpedo divers but thats just me. I really like the musky size.
  22. I have a friend who fishes the Missouri river with a 19.5 Lund Tyee and a 225 Verado. I called him and he said he can get down to 1.8 without bags. He said he can troll 5 hrs pull rods and hammer down and not a isssue. If you want his number give me a shout.
  23. Ozaukee GLSF had a Thursday night league, not sure of the turn outs.
