  3. Sorry for the late report - fished 3:30 PM - 10 PM - finished 7/8 First time out of Holland, and based on reports, we headed out to 150 FOW, didn't mark much but set up and continued NW to find some fish. Water was 56 on top - 39 deg. 85 down. Ran an 8 rod spread - 4 boards, 2 dipsies, 2 DR. DW 85 down was our deepest rod. It was slow - but we managed to box a steelhead, laker, and king before 6:30 - but then nothing but 4 more kings - all jacks - all released - until sundown The hot spoon was double orange crush on 100' copper and holographic watermelon on 3 color we didn't kill it for sure - all fish were in the 5 pound range - but couldn't find the big ones for sure. Tight lines!
  4. Awesome - thank you - I plan to be on the water tomorrow later afternoon to dark - then o'dark thirty to about 11 am Friday - I will reach out - channel 68?

  12. NE blow most of the day, got on the water about 9, fish to 3:30 went 2/3 Many marks and boat, very few catching... Fished south of Linwood in 14-18 fow, all hits past the 16' mark, blueberry muffin spoon, crawler harnesses Sent from my SM-G973U1 using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  13. Maybe this will help - the amount of backing should be - IMHO - the MAXIMUM you can add to the reel that you can - so I have a 6 rod copper set - which I put together myself - if I have one that has 150' copper - I have about a 20' leader of mono on the business end - then I back that with as much 50# braid I can - this allows me to put out a bit more backing in between the copper and the board - then I can put out any length I need to put the board at whatever distance from the boat I want. You can gain a bit of depth with more line between the board and the copper by increasing the length. As I understand it - some actually add an inline weight between the lure and the copper to gain more depth too...not sure if that helps - just my 2 cents...
