  1. Great work Jim. 8 for 11 on a shakedown is amazing.
  2. Nick, that sure is a pretty boat. Nice work in the tourney and thank you for taking it over. I hope to get to as many as I can out of PS this season and look forward to kicking you butt next time.
  3. That is a SWEET fish Hunter. Nice work. Love the smiles from the kids. Hilarious.
  4. I run medium Okuma Classic 8'6 rods on my 3 and 5 color. I run Medium Heavy 9' mooching rods on my full core. That way they pull about the same (bend) and I can see if I have a fish on easier in the tree. I run the new grey downrigger rods (8'6) from okuma in the riggers. They flex like crazy and are really fun to catch fish on. I just switched them out. Last year I ran classic 8'6 rods (like on the 5 and 3 color) in the riggers and they ran fine. This year I put those on my high lines in the spring. Dipseys are rulling on blue diamond 10' roller rods. Quite honestly, they could be a little shorter (9') and I would be happier.
  5. GLF taught me to twist the line about 12-15 times before you put it into the release. We never get slipping and the release is always clean and easy. Fishsniffer and Nailer are right. Use the tension screws on the black until you get it right, then you never have to mess with it again.
  6. Too bad about the tourney, but great weekend of fishing. Nice work.
  7. Very brave fishing today Ken. Great work and very nice 16lb fish.
  8. Great to see you again Jim and crew. Nice job out there. Wish I could have witnessed you "flying".
  9. 15 lb greasy chicken, you might need some floor dry for the boat. Nice work on all the fish. 4 in the 18lb range is awesome.
  10. Cpt Ron. Awesome that you post as a charter Captain. Much respect for you sir. Great job out there and keep it up.
  11. Must have been a great day for rookies. WOW. 23 with that many over 14lbs. SWEEEEEEEET. Bananas, hahahahaha.
  12. Thanks everyone. We had a great time. Waves were just far enough apart to make it worth while. Really appreciate everyone's support.
  13. Went 11 for 14 today in the tourney out of PS and took second. Was fast and furious so I lost count and my log is not very good. What did work was south or southwest troll. Waves, predicted to be 1-3, were 3-5 as though of you that were out there know. All fish came between 90-120. First three on riggers before I could set a board. nitro area 51 went on slider (ball 65 down). Moonshine went 60 down. Green fireball went on slider. Once I got boards set, full core went with mag green dolphin twice. Rigger went with flounder pounder moonshine 60 down. Full core went twice (one loss) with mag nuclear waste. Rigger went with moonshine spoon. Rigger went again with Nuclear Waste mag. Lost one on the slider on the rigger 65 down. Spoon was hog wild stingray. All in all a great day on the water with some great friends.
  14. Fighting fish is better than not fighting fish. WTG guys.
  15. Very impressive shake down trip. We were out there too, and I think we heard you bouncin around. Great job.
  16. That is AWESOME. I'm really impressed Hunter. Nice work.
  17. Great night in Port Sheldon with my father and buddy Ryan. Ended up 8 for 12. Lost the first two on 5 color mag carmel dolphin in about 150fow on a ENE troll. I was worried that this was going to be a bad night. Decided to come in as water temp was not good. 135fow, 65 on rigger with mag nuclear waste went twice on NE troll. Went again at 130fow, same lure on the rigger. By this time we had torn the stripe off the lure. 4th fish was in 100 fow on full core mag green dolphin with 4oz dive bomb. NE troll. 5th was 100 fow 65 down on rigger mag green dolphin. N troll. 6th was 110 fow 65 donw on rigger, hit the slider killer dolphin stingray.NW troll. Lost the next two. 5 color on that same carmel dolphin. And YES MIKE, I sharpened the hooks. Twice. dipsey with nbk flasher and green fly set on 3 150 back. W troll 7th was 140fow rigger 65 down, you guessed it mag nuclear waste (even with no tape on it). W troll. 8th fish was 140fow on 5 color mag glo xmas W troll. Actually this was the 7th fish, but the double came in quicker on the rigger. only after the sob cut by full core with a dive bomb off going from side to side. Largest fish were just under 12lbs. Smallest were 5lbs. If you must know. I, the captain of the ship, lost all 4 fish. No one else lost fish.
  18. OK, Sunday may work. Though I will have a bunch of rookies on board, but I am up for a challenge. If the weather is 3-6ft, we won't be going to GH, so I guess well stay in PS and just wake up early on Sunday and fish. Count me in.
  19. I am planning on traveling up to GH on Saturday night. got a municipal slip and then we were going to fish our way back sunday afternoon. So, Sunday morning at this point does not work for me.
  20. Nice job guys. That there is a bunch of good lookin fish.
  21. I'm a card player (novice) so my vote is Kings R Wild
