  1. Nice work. Some days you win some days you lose. At least there was action.
  2. I'm in for the Port Sheldon league. At least for the May 16th date. Please let me know any details I must know. I plan on being at the lauch at 4:30-5:30 for official sign in and pay.
  3. I just got my Jim Bob Pancakes this year. Still working on tweaking them in to track where I want them. They are supposed to "glow" so I am excited to get them working just right.
  4. Nice work boys. What a nice Monday. You fish and we work.
  5. Made for Pleasure but modified for fishing. Do not have the name on yet, but that is going just under the 6 rod holder on the back. See you on the water.
  6. Thanks man. I'll figure it out eventually. Mike even told me how, but I didn't get much sleep this weekend so my brain is shot.
  7. Totally awesome. Great job. WOW 19.2. That's almost a wall hanger.
  8. SeaMac, fishsniffer, I think I heard you out there this weekend. Thanks for the info. Really appreciate you guys talking on the radio. Let me know if you want my cell so we can talk more.
  9. Can't figure out how to post the darn pictures right this year. Stupid long winter. http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/1/5/1/7/05-10-09_deannas_fishes.jpg http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/1/5/1/7/05-10-09_deannas_fishes_well_done.jpg
  10. Ran up to Grand Haven for a pleasure cruise. Heard all the reports and couldn't take it anymore so we dropped lines on the way back. Fished from 3:20-5:00 in 95-120 fow and picked up two nice fish. The hot chick on the boat reeled them in. Am I lucky or what? First one came on downrigger 48 down on a mag stinger glo xmas. 11 lb king. Second fish came on full core. That's right boys, my wife pulled in full core with a 10 lb king. I'm so proud. Lure was a mag stinger Nuclear Waste. Had to pull lines to get to a mothes day party in Sparta. Guess who brought the food?
  11. Thanks guys. Seems like we had something figured out on Friday night. About the time I say that, I'll skunk the next trip. Really appreciate the help out there. Great getting to know everyone.
  12. Forgot my totals. total trips - 3 coho -3 kings - 8 lakers -2 browns -0
  13. Great job Phil. Heard you and SeaMac out there. I'm sure we'll talk more as I am out of PS this year. Just Hook'n - Mark
  14. Nice work SeaMac. Heard you out there. Will probably talk to you more this summer if you have your ears on. Just Hook'n - Mark
  15. Went out with Rough Diamond and a friend from work and had a ball in port sheldon. We ended up 9 for 10ish (the 11th gave us about 10 clicks on a three color while fighting a double already and we let it go). Biggest was 12lbs5oz king. All fish came just north of Holland in between 95-110fow. Troll direction did not seem to matter as it was flat flat flat, and not much current down low either. What worked: Full went 4 times Magnum Stinger Green Dolphin went 3 times and I can't recall the 4th. 5 color went 3 times Yellow (not lemon ice) with a ladder back went once and hawg wild once and I can't recall what went again of those two. 3 color went once same lemon spoon as above Downrigger went once Sorry Mike, Moonshine Flounder Pounder just after dark.
  16. Thanks for the trip Mike. I'm so tired I forgot to give you any $$$. I'm looking forward to the other tourney dates.
  17. Nice work. Sorry about the lost fish, but at least you got action.
  18. We hit the first one headed south. North troll was FAST, but it gave me a chance to get out the brand new drift socks. WOW, both bags out slowed me down nearly 1.5 mph. They did a great job. The second laker and the ho were caught on the north troll. Thanks for the hint. Here is the picture: http://www.greatlakesfisherman.com/gallery/files/1/5/1/7/fish_05-03-09.jpg
  19. What a nice night on the water. It was flat, at least compared to Saturday morning. We ended up 3 for 3. 2 lakers and one coho. Probably quit to early (7:15), but it was a school night. What worked was the following. south troll seemed to be the right speed with no bags, so we tried that for a a while. Also thought we should go south out of PS. We did find water 50fow 35 down that was about 47 degrees in pockets. 3 color went first with lemon ice. 5 color went next with 42second. lastly 3 color with either a ludington special or a glo lemon. Either way it was green and yellow. All fish between 50-60fow when the temp pockets showed up. Don't have the picture yet. Lakers were 7-8 lbs, coho was a little guy, maybe 3lbs. Fish totals for 2009: trips: 2 coho: 2 lakers: 2 kings: 0 browns: 0
  20. Great Job Mike. Makes my one fish out of PS look like a bust. Guess I should have gone south.
  21. Nice work. Grand slam that early in the year. I don't see anyone catching up to that.
  22. Caught one ho on the maiden 2009 voyage with my new (last fall) boat all set up. Fished 25-45 fow for the most part. Waves were very close and the 1ft or less that NOAA predicted was more like 2-4. One lucky ho. 3 color on a board, lemon ice stinger stingray size, 40 fow, south troll about 2.5mph, just north of the port, about 9am. 1 for 1. At least we got the skunk out of the box.
  23. Great work Mike. You just HAD TO post the pictures of the fillets on the grill. That lake looks so flat. Wish I could have gotten my boat ready earlier, but it is coming along nicely.
  24. Great work. MAN, I wish I could have gotten out this weekend.
  25. Pulled 4 Ho's and missed a fifth on that lure last weekend in St Joe. You picked the right one. But I would have bought 3 or 4 of I were you.
