  3. Got out finally yesterday. Ran down to Duluth in the dirty water picked up a few Lakers using a multicolor rapala. Got blown off around 1ish. Had a good day.
  4. We fished out of Bolles Harbor both days. There were a lot of boats fishing north of the dumping grounds and just inside the Ohio line. We kept going into Ohio waters by the Toledo shipping channel north of the Toledo light. There were no boats fishing around us both days. We had our first fish setting lines and had a steady bite. We fished the same area both days and got our limit of 18 both days. We started Saturday with spoons on diver disc's on one side and crank baits on the other side. They wanted spoons so we switched everything over to them. Saturday was overcast with patchy fog and 60 ft leads were best. Sunday was clear and sunny and we had a slow start until we extended our leads to 80 ft and the bite realy got going. Good luck!

  17. This will be more info than you need... I started with Church Walleye boards, love them and use them every outing. I tried 44's for heavier long lines but they seemed to pull harder than necessary. I won a 12" Ninja board and loved it. So my summer spread includes a mix of Walleye and 12" Ninja boards. They play well together. I believe the 9.5 inch boards would plane like the Church walleye boards. Spend it if you got it.
  18. I use the 12" one's and they work really well
  19. For those of you that run Ninja boards do you use 9.5” or 12”? thks
  20. Last Wednesday night we opened up our 3 net pens and released 131,000 salmon fingerlings. For 2 weeks we fed them 4 times a day and they grew 8% in length - from 9.7mm to 10.5 mm and in weight 24% - from 130 fish/kg to 105/kg. Two weeks ago DNR told use we were getting another 50,000 kings. Today in addition to these kings they brought over another 1,000 steelies. They pumped them into the river at our city launch. No nets pens. So, total steelie plantings 21,000 (they planted 20k late March). Total kings 181,000. I want to thank DNR Wolf Lake Hatchery, SW Steelheaders and all our South Haven Steelheaders that helped. .
  21. It's slim pickings out there now for some reason. Maybe July will come early? Alewife hit the harbors sooner than normal.
