wisejohn Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Fished out of Saugatuck Monday morning, with light east winds. Some small boats working the shallow, but we went to 80 FOW to begin. Surface water from 80 to 110 FOW was 65 F all the way down to the last 15-20 ft from the bottom, where the thermocline dropped to 54-56 F. Picked up a 5 lb coho at 8:30 am on DR with white/green ladderback and green paddle. Marks declined as the sun rose in the sky. As we trolled back to the pier there were more bait-balls from 50-70 FOW and some marks, but no takers. 3
2MD Posted September 17 Posted September 17 similar to what PUG and thee gang encountered Monday night... we set in 80 off Holland and then trolled all the way out to 170 and from there all the way to 30 in saug mud 2for2 158fow copp350 green ladder size4 plug 70fow meat rig marks were insane inside 70 on bottom and it appeared to be matures waiting it out but no takers there 3
jdh Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Was thinking about heading out this afternoon, but my gear is a mess after an Northern Ontario walleye trip. I understand a good number of fish are out in 180-220.
2MD Posted September 17 Posted September 17 see attached - a promising report from GH this heat is making it interesting.. not only for PUG but the Salmon too VID_20250425_110727.mp4 1
