stevesykora Posted March 25, 2013 Share Posted March 25, 2013 I have Big Jon Pro tournament downriggers with auto stop... and I am having a heck of a time with keeping the auto stop slide on.... stay in position with crimps... no matter what I do... how "hard" I crimp the metal crimps.. they slide. Rascal Trophy Fishing Posted March 25, 2013 Share Posted March 25, 2013 I'm not sure if I have the right picture of your problem, but I always use a rubber bumper over the top of my crimper for a stopper at the top. jimcr Posted March 25, 2013 Share Posted March 25, 2013 Scotty makes stops that slip on the cable , I don't like the idea of crimping on the stop it weakens the cable.
