mriversinco
Got out of Holland about 2 pm. Went out to about 180 and set up. Got 2 rips on a 5 color with tequila sunrise spoon but both times couldn't get the fish near the boat. The wind kicked up and the waves started looking uncomfortable for my 18' open boat so we headed into the shallows. Ended up taking 3 fish in about 18-25' of water.1 coho on an orange opti spinner and fly.1 nice brown on a perch rapala.1 very large steelhead (16 pounds) on a blue rapala. I sure thought it was a king by it's body shape and size but after seeing the white mouth and counting the anal fin rays there were only 10.Waves got too big after that and we had to skinny into the port to go home. It's been a great start to spring break but unfortunately it's family time for the rest of the week at great wolf lodge.
