salmonquest
Would 300 hours be considered average on a volvo penta? Also anyone have any experience with these motors? My buddy is looking at a new pleasure boat.
Priority1
Volvo Penta has their own unique outdrive, but a lot of them use other manufacturers engine blocks. 300 hrs is not a lot. A friend of mine has an older Thompson with the Volvo and a Ford V8 block.

spoonfed
300 hrs is low, I looked at the miles traveled on mine last week and it was over 2800 milesfor 5 yrs! Thats alot of trolling! I have 1400 hrs on our motor and outdrive, last year we changed the gimble bearings
