Daybreak Posted May 24, 2010 Share Posted May 24, 2010 Heres one we picked up about 10 miles from Stannard Rock while trolling. Probably 25+ miles from shore. The little girl I had on the charter was holding it in her hand for a while. She named it Barney. Life was good. Then.........it finally got the strength to fly away, only to be hit in mid air, 20 yards from the boat, by a Gull! The bird fell into the water and the gull carried him away. I though it was pretty cool and a little crazy......the little girl did not Heres one from the Huron Islands, 25 miles North of Marquette off of the Huron Mountains. A finch landed on the planer board line about half way out to the boards and stayed there for about 20 seconds. Some how it was able to hold on to 30lb power pro.
